Anthony Rodriguez (Prairie View, Ill.) and senior
Julian Ivarra (Plano, Texas) concluded their respective careers by representing Babson College at the Division III Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday.
Rodriguez finished 38th overall with a time of 24:41 and Ivarra placed 155th in a field of 294 runners with a time of 25:30 on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
Rodriguez, who was making his third appearance at the Division III national meet, became the Beavers' first All-American thanks to posting the fourth best time of his career. Sitting in 105th position at the midway point of the race, he moved up 40 spots over his next kilometer and was just outside the top 40 with a mile to go before making a late push to jump up to 38th.
Rodriguez also qualified for the Division III Championship in 2021 and 2022. He placed 165th in his debut and moved up one spot two years ago.
Ivarra, who was making his national championship debut, was just inside the top 200 at the halfway point and also made a late push, jumping nine spots over the final mile into 155th position. His time of 25:30 was the fourth best of his career, all of which were recorded this season.

Russ Brennen, the Beavers sent two runners to nationals for the first time in program history after placing third at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) championship and a program-best six at the NCAA East Regional last Saturday.
