SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 7 Babson (15-3, 8-0 NEWMAC) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 5-1 non-conference victory over the University of New England on Tuesday at MacDowell Field.

• DiGiovanni (13-4-30) is ranked third in the NEWMAC in both goals and points, while Evans (10-1-21) reached double digits in goals for the first time in her career. Guden (9-3-21) has six goals in her last eight outings, Marguerite (8-4-20) has four goals and an assist in her last five games, and Sharrow (5-4-14), Marsh (5-3-13), first-year

• Furmanek (0.73 GAA, 38 saves) leads the league in shutouts (9) and ranks sixth in Division III in goals against average.
SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Mount Holyoke (8-10, 0-8 NEWMAC) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 1-0 non-conference victory over Rivier on Tuesday in its final home game of the season, recording Coach Andy Whitcomb's 300th career win.
• Seniors Jayonna Montigny and Sophia Guziewicz connected on the game's only goal in their final home game. Junior Taylor Vettori made two defensive saves in the final 11 minutes to preserve the victory and senior goalie Rachel Katzenberg made two saves for her third shutout of the season.
• Guziewicz (13-1-27) has six goals over her last six games and has produced the program's best individual scoring season since 2013. Sophomore Linnea Alsted (7-6-20) is second on the team in goals and points and Montigny (5-8-18) leads the team in assists. Sophomores Scout Climie (5-6-16) and Diane Lee (5-3-13) have also been productive with five goals each.
• Katzenberg (2.27 GAA, 109 svs.) has started all 18 games in goal for the Lyons this season and 64 of 66 games over the past four years, recording 485 saves and six shutouts.
CHECKING THE NEWMAC RACE
• Babson (8-0) has clinched the top seed in the NEWMAC Tournament for the ninth straight season while MIT (7-1) has secured the second seed and will join Babson with first-round byes on Tuesday and home field advantage in the semifinals next Thursday.
• WPI (6-2) will be the third seed while five teams -- Salve Regina (4-4), Wellesley (4-4), Clark (3-5), Springfield (3-5) and Smith (3-5) – are battling for the final three playoffs spots.
SENIOR DAY
• Prior to Saturday's game, Babson will pay tribute to the field hockey senior class, which has registered a composite record of 77-11 with four conference regular season titles, three tournament championships, three NCAA tournament quarterfinal appearances and one NCAA Final Four.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS
• Evans has increased her career totals to 34 goals, 22 assists and 90 points, which ranks 13th in program history in both goals and points and tied for 15th in assists.
• Marguerite is right behind Evans with 33 goals, 17 assists and 83 points, ranking 14th in program history in both goals and points.
• Furmanek has etched her name in the Babson record books, setting program records for goalie wins (56) and shutouts (30) and enters the weekend ranked second in winning percentage (.862).
• The Beavers have also gotten outstanding production from Marsh (26g, 11a, 63pts),
Caroline DiGiovanni (28g, 5a, 61pts), and Sharrow (18g, 18a, 54pts).
NEWMAC DOMINANCE
• Babson has recorded 67 consecutive NEWMAC regular season wins over the last nine seasons since a 1-0 loss at Mount Holyoke on October 17, 2015.
• The Green and White have captured 39 straight contests against NEWMAC opponents, including the post-season, since a 3-2 overtime loss to MIT in the 2019 conference championship game.
BEAVER BITES
• Babson is 7-1 at home this season, 21-1 at MacDowell Field since the beginning of last season and 44-5 at home over the past four seasons.
• The Beavers finished the month with a 9-0 record to extend their October winning streak to 55 games going back to 2018.
• The Green and White has outscored its opponents 69-13, with eight players with at least five goals and 15 with at least one goal.

• The Beavers are 36-2 since the start of last year and 71-2 over the past four seasons when scoring the first goal of the game.
