WHAT TO KNOW
• The Babson men's and women's swimming & diving teams will compete in two meets in less than 24 hours on Friday and Saturday.
• The Beavers travel to Worcester to take on WPI, Brandeis, Coast Guard and Smith on Friday evening before returning to the friendly confines of Morse Pool on Saturday for a dual meet against Clark.
SERIES NOTES
vs. Brandeis
• The Babson men are 12-11 versus the Judges dating back to 1997 and have won five consecutive meets in the series.
• The Babson women own three victories over Brandeis since 2013, which includes wins in both 2019 and 2023.
vs. Coast Guard
• The Beavers and Bears have competed in all but three seasons (2011, 2014, 2020) going back to 2000.
• The Babson men last defeated Coast Guard back in 2001.
vs. Smith
• The Beavers have won three consecutive matchups with the Pioneers since 2019 on the heels of a five-meet losing streak to Smith from 2014-18.
vs. WPI
• The Babson men are 12-13 all-time against the Engineers and recorded their first win in the series since 2012 back in 2022.
• The Babson women are 11-15 against WPI dating back to 1997.
vs. Clark
• The Babson women have won their last four dual meets versus Clark going back to 2018.

ABOUT THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers (1-1) enter the weekend coming off a 153-140 loss to Division II Bentley last Saturday.

Julia Netishen set a new school record with a time of 24.15 to win the 50 free and also was victorious in the 100 free, while first-year
Tuana Turhan touched the wall first in both the 100 butterfly and 200 butterfly to lead the Green and White.

Marta Gershanok to win the 200 medley relay, and the quartet of Netishen, Daniels, senior

Sylvie Racicot helped Babson claim first place in the 200 free relay.

Vangella Randall was the runner-up in both the 500 free and 100 free, while Tran (100 back), Daniels (100 breast) and first-year
Samantha Gilbert (200 breast) all added second-place finishes against the Falcons.
ABOUT THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers (2-0) defeated Bentley for the first time since last Saturday, 154-126, inside Morse Pool.
• Senior
Pat Anutarasoti (50 free, 100 butterfly) and first-year
Nathan Huynh (100 breast, 200 breast) both won a pair of swimming events, while sophomore
David Krol was first on both the 1- and 3-meter diving boards in the victory for Babson.
• Anutarasoti and Huynh were joined by first-years
Dom Crisafulli and
Nehemiah Rhee in winning the 200 medley relay, while the contingent of Anutarasoti, Huynh, Rhee and first-year
Tommy Hannenian touched the wall first in the 200 free relay.
• Sophomore
Anthony Taslakov (200 free) and first-years
Liam Maloney (200 butterfly) and
William Iglar (200 IM) also recorded a first-place finish for the Green and White.
THREE EARN CONFERENCE REGOGNITION
• Netishen and Anutarasoti each garnered NEWMAC Swimmer of the Week honors, while Krol was tabbed as the league's men's diver of the week on Monday.
• Anutarasoti has three first-place finishes in three individual events as well as two more victories in the relays over the first two meets of the year for the Beavers.
• Krol recorded season-high scores in both the 1-meter (301.85) and 3-meter diving (281.85) events against Bentley, and Netishen has posted seven first-place results, four of which have come in individual events over the first two meets for the Babson women.
TOP TIMES
• In addition to her new school record in the 50 free, Netishen ranks seventh among the Beavers' top-10 performers with her time of 55.03 in the 100 butterfly last Saturday.
• Turhan is the third-ranked individual in Babson history with her times of 2:09.75 in the 200 butterfly and 58.89 in the 100 butterfly, and is fourth in the 200 IM with her time of 2:12.90.
• Gilbert cracked the program's top-10 with a time of 2:36.23 in the 200 breast and Gershnok's time of 2:16.79 ranks 10th among Babson swimmers in the 200 back.
• On the men's side, Maloney's time of 1:58.36 ranks 10th in the 200 butterfly.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
• Coast Guard, Smith are both set to open their respective seasons on Friday night at WPI, while Clark gets the 2024-25 campaign underway at Babson on Saturday.
• The WPI men and women are both 1-1 with victories over Roger Williams and losses to Ithaca, while Brandeis split its opening meet of the year last Saturday with the men winning and the women losing to Vassar.
• The Coast Guard women finished second at last year's NEWMAC Championships, WPI came in sixth one spot ahead of the Beavers, and Smith and Clark placed eighth and 10th, respectively.
• Coast Guard (2nd) and WPI (3rd) finished just ahead of the Babson men at last year's league meet, while Clark came in seventh.
UP NEXT
• The Babson women will host Stonehill on November 15 at 5 p.m. and both the men's and women's squads will travel to the Fisher Invitational at Roger Williams on November 22-23.
