• Graduate student Shannon Kennedy scored the lone goal to break up the shutout for the Seahawks, with an assist from Ashley Lefebvre. Senior Bryn Protheroe finished with a career-high 18 saves and senior Izzy Mastino made a pair of defensive saves in the setback.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 7 Babson (9-3, 3-0 NEWMAC) extended its winning streak to four games with a 3-1 victory over Bowdoin on Wednesday on the strength of three straight fourth-quarter goals in a five-minute span.

Berit Sharrow tallied a goal and an assist, Evans and graduate student
Katie Guden also scored for the Beavers, and grad student
Andrea Marguerite and Marsh picked up assists. Furmanek made one save to record the victory in goal.
• DiGiovanni (9-3-21) has four goals in the last four outings and Evans (7-1-15) has found the net in six consecutive contests. Guden (5-2-12) has at least one point in four straight games, Marguerite (4-3-11) has four goals and three assists in her last six games, and Marsh (4-2-10) has four goals and two assists in her last six contests. Ellie Powers (0-4-4) leads the team in assists.
• Furmanek (0.72 GAA, 30 saves) leads the league in shutouts (7) and goals against average.
SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
• Salve Regina (10-1, 3-1 NEWMAC) got back on the winning track with a 6-2 victory at Wheaton on Tuesday after suffering its first loss of the season last Saturday against Wellesley, 2-1.
• Junior Georgia Costello tallied two goals and an assist in the win over Wheaton, and classmate Julia Decker, sophomore Natalie Vaughan, Kennedy and senior Kira Spedden all scored once each. Protheroe made six saves in goal for the Seahawks.
• Salve Regina has three of the top scorers in the NEWMAC as Decker (12-6-18) leads the NEWMAC in goals and points, Costello (9-8-26) is second in goals and points and leads the league in assists, and Kennedy (9-2-20) is second in goals and fifth in points. The Seahawks have outscored their opponents 46-8 in their 11 games.
• Protheroe (1.07 GAA, 50 svs.) has started all 11 games for the Seahawks and posted two shutouts.
COMEBACK VICTORY
• Babson's win at Bowdoin on Wednesday was its first in four opportunities over the past two seasons when the opponent scored the first goal of the game.
• Babson snapped an 11-game losing streak over the past five seasons when trailing after the third quarter.
NCAA STATUS
• Furmanek ranks 12th this season in Division III in goals against average.
• The Beaver netminder recorded her 50th career victory on Wednesday, which is tops in Division III and ranks second among active goalies in all NCAA Divisions.
• Furmanek is also sixth among active goalies in all divisions with a 0.85 career goals against average.
THE STREAK CONTINUES
• Babson has won 63 consecutive NEWMAC regular season games going back to October 20, 2015. The last regular season loss was a 1-0 verdict at Mount Holyoke on October 17, 2015.
• The Beavers have captured 35 straight contests against NEWMAC opponents, including the conference tournament, since the start of the 2021 campaign. The last setback was a 3-2 overtime loss to MIT in the 2019 NEWMAC title game.
AWESOME AUTUMN
• Since 2018, the Beavers are 49-0 in the month of October.
• The 49 victories include 22 at home, 26 on the road and one at a neutral site.
• The last road loss in October was a 2-1 verdict at Montclair State on October 28, 2017.

• The Babson seniors have achieved remarkable success since 2021, registering an overall record of 71-11 (.862).
• This year's team needs just one win to match the seniors of 2019, who went 72-17 in their four years.
