NEWVILLE, Pa.—Senior
Alyssa Keith (Newburyport, Mass.) was Babson's top finisher and helped lead the Babson College women's cross country team to 17th place out of 24 schools at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational Saturday morning at Big Spring High School.
Babson recorded a team score of 482 in the meet, which included three nationally ranked teams and more than a half dozen regionally ranked teams. The Beavers finished behind Penn State-Behrend (419) and ahead of Harford Community College (554). No. 28 Calvin (56) won the team title (56) ahead of runner-up Smith (95) and third-place Carnegie Mellon (103).
Keith finished the 6K race in a time of 25:34, while first-year
Isabella Mozilo (Glendale, Calif.) made her first collegiate appearance and crossed the line in 110th place with a time of 26:14. Sophomore
Avery Butt (Orange, Conn.) was Babson's third finisher in 119th place in 26:34, followed by junior
Eujin Shin (Rochester Hills, Minn.) and first-year
Colleen Corman (Quaker Hill, Conn.) in 132nd and 133rd in 27:50 and 27:57, respectively.
Babson will wrap up the regular season at the Connecticut College Invitational on October 14 at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn.
