Women's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Recognition

NEW ORLEANS—The Babson College women's cross country program was recognized for its success in the classroom by earning All-Academic Team accolades from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) late last week.

Under the leadership of head coach Russ Brennen, the Beavers concluded the fall semester with a cumulative team grade-point average of 3.27 and received USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for the 17th time in the last 18 seasons. The Green and White was one of eight New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) institutions and 222 Division III programs to earn this distinction.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

Babson finished seventh at the NEWMAC Championship recording its lowest point total since 2018 and 16th at the NCAA East Regional to match the top finish in program history.
