BABSON PARK, Mass.—Babson College Associate Athletics Director for Business Development Ilyza Holman announced the hiring of John Rankin IV as the coordinator of business development and facilities operations on Wednesday morning.
 
Rankin IV comes to Babson after serving as the Director of Operations for the Hawks Lacrosse Club where he was involved in coaching,  tournament and practice scheduling, and facility supervision. Additionally, Rankin was responsible for overseeing a number of day-to-day tasks for the organization.
 
"We're excited to add John to our team in this new role," commented Holman. "His experience and expertise in the business world and with the Hawks Lacrosse Club aligns well with the goals of this position. I'm looking forward to working alongside John."
 
A 2016 graduate of Assumption University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting Rankin IV spent nearly two years as a client services representative for MFS Investment Management before moving on to Merrill Lynch in 2018 as a registered wealth management client associate. He also has served as the Boys' Junior Varsity lacrosse head coach at Marshfield High School since 2019.
 
"I am excited to join the Babson Athletics team and help add to the great culture they have built here," said Rankin.  "I am looking forward to working with Ilyza and helping her grow the department's revenue stream."
 
Rankin IV, who's responsibilities within the department will include outbound sales, scheduling, assisting with the management of programs, and working towards overall increased revenue generation, earned a master's degree in athletic administration from Lasell University in 2022.
