SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 28-9 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1992.
• The Beavers have dominated the series as of late with 13 victories in the last 14 meetings between the teams dating back to 2011.
• Each of Babson's last eight victories since 2015 have come by at least six goals.

LAST MEETING
• Junior Topher Bower matched his career-high with four goals and Babson jumped out to an 11-1 halftime lead on the way to a 16-5 victory over Wheaton on April 23, 2022 at Nordin Field.
Peter Chisholm '22 tallied three goals and an assist and junior Connor Karsh added three goals for the Beavers. Nick Mitchell contributed two goals and two assists, Lee Sipes '22M chipped in with two goals and senior Matt Stucchi produced three assists. Junior Grey Sunderland won 16 of 19 face-offs and picked up 10 ground balls and Mac Mowat '22 made eight saves on 10 shots in goal in the win.
• Alex Berg '22 led the Lyons with two goals and one assist, and senior Shane Ross and sophomores Mike McLaughlin and Charlie Racine scored once each. Junior Jacob Wharton posted a game-high six caused turnovers and sophomore John Drew and senior Cory Bannon combined for 15 saves in the loss.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (8-4, 4-0 NEWMAC) led No. 5 USILA/No. 5 Nike/USA Lacrosse Middlebury for much of the first three quarters before falling, 18-15, Sunday afternoon at Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium in Vermont.
• Senior Chi Chi Price finished with four goals and two assists while graduate student Ryan Kenney, Stucchi and juniors Jacob Tauss and Dillon Quinn all scored twice for the Beavers. Bower contributed a goal and three assists, Sunderland won 19-of-36 face-offs and scooped up a game-high 11 ground balls, and senior Will Parducci made 12 saves in the loss.
• Graduate student Will Spangenberg (37-26-63) is ranked 32nd in Division III with 5.18 points per game. Price (42-5-47) has 10 multi-goal games and has set new single-season career highs for goals and points, and Kenney (32-13-45) has put up three or more points in nine of 12 starts.
• Sunderland has won .542 percent of his face-offs (142-of-262) and has scooped up 90 ground balls, and Quinn leads the defense with 20 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers. Parducci (11.34 GAA, .551 sv. pct) leads the NEWMAC in goals against average, ranks third in save percentage and ranks 32nd in Division III with 14.2 saves per game.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
• Wheaton (6-9, 0-5 NEWMAC) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 15-6 non-conference victory over New England College Wednesday in Norton.
• Senior Robert Sullivan netted a career-high six goals and added an assist for a career-high seven points to lead the Lyons. Ross tallied four goals to go with a pair of caused turnovers, Racine tallied two goals, two assists and eight ground balls, winning 12 of 19 faceoffs. Wharton paced the defense with eight ground balls and three caused turnovers, while Drew came up with five saves.
• McLaughlin (21-20-41) and Racine (32-8-40) lead the team in scoring along with Ross (29-6-35). Wharton leads the NEWMAC with 44 caused turnovers and ranks 12th in Division III with 3.13 per game, and Racine is second in the league with 96 ground balls.
• Drew (11.99 GAA, .493 sv. pct) has started 13 of the Lyons' 15 games, including the last 11 in a row, and owns eight double-digit save performances.

ALL CLEAR
• Babson enters Saturday's contest ranked fifth in Division III with a .901 clearing percentage,.
• The Beavers have been successful on 81 of 84 clearing chances in their four NEWMAC games, including all 25 opportunities against Coast Guard and all 24 against Emerson.

PILING UP THE POINTS
• With 37 goals, 26 assists and 63 points through 12 games, Spangenberg has moved up to fifth on the Babson single-season record list in points, the most since Alex Patinkin accumulated 68 points (32-36) in 2013.
• Spangenberg is also tied for 14th on the single season goals list and tied for 12th on the assist list.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT
• With 42 goals this spring, Price has reached his career high and has moved into a tie for third on the Babson all-time single-season goals list. With his next goal, he will tie Samuel Mishkind in 2019 for second-most goals in a season. The all-time record holder is Josh Shaffer, who scored 71 goals in 1995.
• Price is also climbing the Babson career charts with his totals of 99 goals and 114. points. He has moved up to ninth all-time in goals and 18th in points.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 8-3 this season when scoring at least 10 goals, 16-7 since last year and 23-7 over the last four seasons with double-digit scoring.
• Babson is 26-3 when allowing eight goals or fewer going back to the start of 2018.
• The Beavers are 22-2 over the last four seasons when leading at halftime.
• The Green and White are 12-4 over the past two years when recording eight or more caused turnovers.

UP NEXT
• Babson wraps up the regular season next Saturday 1 p.m. at MacDowell Field in a showdown with defending champion MIT, with top seed conference tournament likely on the line.
