SERIES HISTORY
• Babson and Framingham State will meet for just the second time on Thursday afternoon.
• The Beavers are 1-0 against the Rams after winning last season's matchup in Babson Park.
LAST MEETING
• Courtney Kaskey '22 scored four times, senior Claudia Dodge added three goals and sophomore Kathleen Murphy made 13 saves to help the Beavers defeat Framingham State, 18-11, on March 30, 2022, in Babson Park.
• Senior Erin Jayne and sophomores Michaela Downer and Jessica Evans all finished with two goals for Babson, which took its largest lead of the game at 12-3 less than three minutes into the third quarter.
• Leah Green scored three times and Hailey Baker chipped in with two goals for the Rams.
SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• Babson (2-5) has dropped two straight games after suffering an 18-10 loss at No. 14 Trinity on Tuesday night.
• Graduate student Emily Curtis finished with two goals and three assists for five points and Jayne scored three goals and dished out one assist for the Beavers, who led 3-1 four minutes into the opening quarter.
• Curtis (21-8-29) is averaging 5.75 points over the last four games, Jayne (10-12-22) has registered at least one assist in 14 of her last 15 outings going back to last season and Dodge (13-3-16) has 13 ground balls, 11 draw controls and nine caused turnovers on the year.
• Sophomore Clare Connolly has recorded 55 draw controls, junior Kayleigh Hacker leads the defense with 11 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers and Murphy has posted a 13.67 goals against average and a .399 save percentage in seven starts.
SCOUTING THE RAMS
• Framingham State (4-4) snapped a two-game losing streak with a 21-6 win over Montclair State last Saturday.
• Green scored six times, Hannah Guerin finished with five goals and Molly Lanier tallied four times and led all players with 11 draw controls for the Rams, who won 24 of 29 draws and outscored the Red Hawks 12-1 in the second half.
• Guerin (33-5-38) has scored four or more goals in six of eight games this spring, Regan Fein (14-17-31) leads the squad in assists and is second on the team with 38 draw controls, and Rachel Erickson (26-5-31) has converted 11-of-16 free-position chances on the year.
• Lanier (10-1-11) has won a team-high 44 draws, Maggie Grout leads the defense with 14 caused turnovers and Isabella DiMare owns a 13.26 goals against average and a .420 save percentage in seven starts.
SUCCESS ON THE DRAW
• Connolly ranks 22nd in Division III averaging 7.86 draw controls per game and has secured at least six in five straight games, a stretch which includes recording a career-high 13 on March 13 against Rhodes and matching that total in last Saturday's loss to MIT.
• Her 138 career draw controls rank seventh on the Beavers' all-time list, which dates back to 1999 when the NCAA started tracking draws as an official stat.
JAYNE IN ELITE COMPANY
• Jayne ranks sixth in program history with 62 career assists and enters Thursday's contest needing just one point to reach 150 for her career.
• She is one of just five players in school history along with Anita Martignetti '08, Jackie Godfrey '09, Trisha Babson '12 and Lexi Lenaghan '19 to produce at least 85 goals and 60 assists.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 2-0 this season and 15-1 going back to the start of last year when scoring 12 or more goals.
• Babson is 2-1 this spring and 14-2 since the beginning of the 2022 campaign when leading at halftime.
• In their two victories this spring, the Beavers have outscored their opponents 26-10 in the first half.
• The Green and White is 14-4 over the last two seasons when recording at least nine caused turnovers.
