• Coming off a 2022 campaign that saw her achieve new career highs in nearly every statistical category, Dodge was named to the USA Lacrosse All-America third team back in January.
• A first-team all-conference and all-region selection last spring, finished second on the team in scoring and draw controls (43) in addition to recording career highs in both ground balls and caused turnovers.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR PRODUCTION
• Just the Beavers' third NEWMAC Player of the Year selection over the last decade, Jayne put together one of the highest scoring seasons in program history in 2022.
• She tied for fourth on Babson's single-season list with 87 points and her 51 goals and 36 assists helped her join Lexi Lenaghan '19 (2018, 2019) and Georgia Salvatore '19 (2019) as the only players to register 50 goals and 30 assists in the same season.
THE PICKS ARE IN
• The Green and White collected three first-place votes and finished second behind defending NEWMAC Tournament champion Springfield when the league released its preseason coaches' poll on Tuesday.
• In five full seasons since 2016, Babson has earned at least a share of the conference's regular season title four times in addition to a runner-up finish in 2017.
MOVING UP THE CHARTS
• After recording the 100th victory of her career with a 20-4 rout of Wheaton on April 13 of last season, head coach Michelle Smith enters the 2023 campaign just seven victories shy of matching Kully Reardon as the winningest coach in program history.
• Reardon won 112 games from 2002-11 and led Babson to five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2007-11.
• Excluding shortened seasons in 2020 and 2021, Smith has led the Beavers to at least 13 wins every year since 2016
