WORCESTER, Mass.—Senior
April Kupsky (Bear Creek, Pa.) and first-year
Sylvie Racicot (Arlington, Mass.) both recorded runner-up finishes as the Babson College women's swimming & diving team competed in a five-team meet on Friday night at WPI.
The Beavers defeated Brandeis 147-120 and Smith 180-107 while falling to WPI 163-124 and Coast Guard 194-67. The Green and White is now 4-2 on the season.
Kupsky was the runner-up in both the 200 IM (2:15.97) and the 200 breaststroke (2:33.27), while Racicot took second place in the 50 free with a time of 25.62 and tacked on a fifth-place result with a time of 56.98 in the 100 free. Junior
Emily Tran (Longmeadow, Mass.) came in third in 100 free, just over a half-second ahead of Racicot.

Audrey Daniels (Santa Monica, Calif.) placed fourth with a time of 1:11.64 in the 100 breaststroke, classmate
Maggie Cassily (Rye, N.H.) was fourth in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:17.11 and senior
Vera Belfonti (Orange, Conn.) added a fourth-place showing by touching the wall in a time of 1:02.57 in the 100 butterfly. Belfonti also came in fifth with a time of 2:25.44 in the 200 butterfly.
Senior
Sophia Swain (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) was just 0.06 seconds behind Belfonti to finish sixth in the 200 butterfly and sophomore
Jenny Chung (Cumming, Ga.) finished sixth with a time of 5:36.10 in the 500 free.
Babson returns to action on Saturday at 1 p.m. with a dual meet at Clark.
