BABSON PARK, Mass.—Sophomore

Nate Mueller (Rogers, Minn.) made 30 saves to record his first career shutout as Babson College defeated visiting Williams College, 5-0, in non-conference men's ice hockey action on Saturday afternoon at the Babson Skating Center.
Babson, which extended its unbeaten streak to six games, improves to 5-3-2 on the year with the win. Williams has now dropped back-to-back games to fall to 1-2 overall.
Junior
Matt Cormier (Waltham, Mass.), sophomores
Will Holland (Charlotte, N.C.) and
Mike Stevens (Massapequa, N.Y.) and first-year
Jimmy Fallon (Milton, Mass.) each scored once for the Beavers. Senior
Thomas Kramer (Bridgewater, Mass.) and junior
Wyatt George (Mount Lebanon, Pa.) both recorded two assists, while sophomores

Brendan Kennedy (Georgetown, Ontario), and

CJ Beals (Chelmsford, Mass.) and
Sean Senier (Melrose, Mass.) each added a helper in the win.
Junior goaltender Cal Sundquist (Evergreen, Colo.) made 26 saves on 31 shots before giving way to first-year Harrison Fogel (Sandy Springs, Ga.), who stopped five shots over the final 13 minutes of his collegiate debut for the Ephs.
The Green and White jumped on top 7:55 into the contest on Cormier's fourth goal of the season. Beals helped dig the puck out along the boards and Sibold gained the zone along the left wing before hitting Cormier with a centering pass for a one-timer from the top of the crease.
The Beavers doubled their advantage just under five minutes later when Murphy took a cross-ice pass from George to set up Holland's first goal of the year from between the circles in transition. The Ephs took another penalty less than three minutes into the second period and Babson scored just 12 seconds into the power play as Fallon worked the puck behind the net before finishing a centering pass from Kramer for his second career goal for a 3-0 edge at the 3:04 mark.
The Beavers extended their advantage less than three minutes later as Murphy buried a centering feed from Kramer for his team-leading fifth goal to make it 4-0 at 5:51 of the middle period. Both teams killed off a pair of minor penalties in the second before Babson struck again 7:13 into the third when a shot by Senier bounced out to the right face-off circle where Stevens blasted a one-timer past Sundquist pushing the margin to 5-0.
After stopping 17 shots over the first two periods, Mueller made eight of his 13 third-period saves over the final 11 minutes to complete the shutout.
Both teams return to action on Sunday at 3 p.m. as Babson hosts Amherst, while Williams returns home to face fifth-ranked Geneseo.
