BRIDGEWATER, Mass.—Junior
 Katelyn Mollica (Foxborough, Mass.) scored 15 points and classmate
 Abby Miller (Millis, Mass.) added a career-high 14 points to lead five players in double figures as No. 13 D3hoops.com/No. 15 WBCA Babson College cruised to an 87-64 win over Bridgewater State University in non-conference women's basketball action inside the Tinsley Center on Tuesday night. 
With the win, Babson evens its record at 1-1 while helping head coach 
Kate Barnosky earn her first victory as head coach. Bridgewater State opens its season 0-1. 
Miller, who also dished out four assists, and Mollica both went 6-of-12 from the floor, sophomore 
Chloe Perreault (Danbury, Conn.) contributed 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds and senior 
Kelly Walsh (Goffstown, N.H.) added 11 points and five assists to pace the Beavers. Sophomore
 Claire McCarthy (Dorchester, Mass.) also chipped in with a career-high 10 points and classmate 
Allessia Carlo (Carmel, N.Y.) scored nine points in the win. 
Junior Kylie Grassi (Plymouth, Mass.) poured in a game-high 24 points on 9-of-15 shooting to leads the Bears. Senior Sydney Bradbury (East Bridgewater, Mass.) scored 11 points and classmate Sophia Gaucher (Lakeville, Mass.) contributed 10 points and a team-high six boards in the loss. 
Mollica and Perreault knocked down early three-pointer and Walsh and Miller combined for the next 11 points as the Green and White built a 17-5 lead with 3:05 to go in the opening quarter. Bridgewater State answered with a 16-3 burst to go in front 21-20 when senior Caroline Tripp (Plymouth, Mass.) converted a steal with 6:47 to go in the second, but the Beavers responded by scoring on five of its next six possessions and regained a 31-23 advantage when Miller converted a three-point play with 3:40 to go until halftime. 
Miller and Mollica canned triples to stretch the margin to 39-28 at the break and Babson broke the game open by outscoring the Bears 28-15 in the third quarter. Perreault made it 47-34 with a layup at the 6:18 mark and Mollica, first-year 
Samantha Reale (North Attleboro, Mass.) and senior
 Madison Odam (San Jose, Calif.) buried consecutive three-pointers to give the visitors a 56-36 edge with 4:31 to go in the stanza. 
The Green and White was up 24 going to the fourth and sophomore 
Gianna Langone's (Ellington, Conn.) layup following seven straight points by Carlo extended the lead to as many as 32 at 80-48 with 6:16 remaining in the contest. 
The Beavers shot 47.1 percent from the floor and 44 percent (11-of-25) from beyond the arc on the night. They also finished with a 41-29 edge on the glass and assisted on 24 of their 33 made field goals. 
The Bears shot just 35.7 percent and committed 16 turnovers in the loss. 
Babson returns to action on Saturday at 3 p.m. when it faces Thomas at the Colby Tip-Off Tournament in Waterville, Maine, while Bridgewater State meets Bowdoin in the Coastal Classic on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
