NORTHAMPTON, Mass.—Junior
Ali Thomas (Vero Beach, Fla.) recorded the team's top time of the day as the Babson College women's cross country team placed 11th at the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship on Saturday afternoon at the Smith Cross Country Course.
The Beavers finished with 295 points to come in just behind Wheaton and Emerson. No. 7 MIT captured its 15th straight NEWMAC title with 35 points, while Coast Guard (47 points) and WPI (65) came in second and third, respectively.
Thomas came in 49th overall with a time of 25:51 on the 6k course. Senior
Alyssa Keith (Newburyport, Mass.) finished 75th with a time of 27:30, first-year
Isabella Mozilo (Glendale, Calif.) placed 77th in a time of 27:37 and junior
Eujin Shin (Rochester Hills, Mich.) was 86th overall with a time of 27:52.
Sophomore
Avery Butt (Orange, Conn.) crossed the finish line in a time of 28:22 for the Green and White.
Babson returns to action on Saturday, November 11, when it travels to Hopkinton, N.H., for the NCAA East Region Championship.
