SERIES HISTORY
• The Babson men are 2-2 all-time against Roger Williams in a series that dates back to 2018 and the Beavers and Hawks have split their last two matchups by a total of just four points.

• The Babson men were suffered a 132-129 loss and the Babson women dropped a 160-101 decision to Roger Williams on January 21, 2023, in Bristol, R.I.

Blake Albanese (100 breast, 200 breast) both won a pair of events, while junior
Matthew D'Elia (200 butterfly) and sophomore
Spencer Ernst (500 free) each recorded a victory for the Beavers in the men's half of the meet.

Sophia Sznewajs took first place in the 50 free,
Molly Cox '23 won the 100 backstroke and the duo teamed with junior
Audrey Daniels and
Madeleine Green '23 to post a victory in the 400 free relay.
• The Babson women also recorded eight runner-up finishes against the Hawks and Eastern Connecticut State.
SCOUTING THE BABSON WOMEN
• The Beavers opened the season with a 205-63 win over Regis last Saturday inside Morse Pool.
• Daniels (50 butterfly, 100 free, 200 IM) and senior
April Kupsky (50 breast, 100 breast, 100 butterfly) both won three events, while senior
Sophia Swain (200 free, 500 free) and junior
Maggie Cassily (50 back, 100) touched the wall first in two events apiece for the Green and White.

Elina Sung came in first in the 1-meter diving event, classmate
Kendall Garvey touched the wall first in the 1000 free and first-year
Sylvie Racicot won the 50 free in her collegiate debut.
• Babson returns 18 veterans from a team that went 6-8 in dual-meet competition and finished seventh at the NEWMAC Championships last season.
SCOUTING THE BABSON MEN
• The Beavers took first place in 15 of 16 events and cruised to a 238-39 victory over Regis to open the 2023-24 season last Saturday inside Morse Pool.

Zackary Cheung (50 back, 100 back) all won two events, while Albanese (50 breast), Ford (100 free), D'Elia (100 butterfly), junior

Hawken Hammen (50 butterfly) all recorded one victory for the Green and White.

Rajkaran Padda was the runner-up in the 50 free and 1000 back, while first-year
Chase Stevens came in second in the 50 breast and 100 breast.
• The Babson men bring back 18 veterans from a team that went 9-4 in dual-meet competition in addition to placing third at the NEWMAC Championships last year.
SCOUTING ROGER WILLIAMS
• The Hawks opened the 2023-24 season against Providence at the Friar Invitational last Saturday.
• Gabby Carr was the runner-up in both the 100- and 200-meter freestyle events, while Isabella Kuzbek came in second in the 100-meter breaststroke for the Roger Williams women.
• Blake Anderson (50m free), Dylan Gourlay (200m butterfly), Ross Macy (200m back) and Seth Sutton (100m butterfly) all came in second for the Hawks' men's squad.
• The Roger Williams women placed ninth and the men 10th at the ECAC Championships last winter.
HOMECOMING FOR THURSTON
• Saturday's meet marks a return home for Babson second-year head coach
Eric Thurston, a 2014 graduate of Roger Williams and a four-year member of the Hawks' swimming & diving squad.
• Thurston claimed six New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) titles, graduated as the school-record holder in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke and was a part of two more records in the 200- and 400-yard medley relays.
UP NEXT
• Following a weekend off, the Beavers travel to Worcester for a multi-team meet at WPI on November 3 and a dual meet against Clark on November 4.
