WATERFORD, Conn.—The Babson College women's cross country team posted numerous career-best times while placing 26th as a team at the Connecticut College Invitational Blue race Saturday afternoon at Harkness Park.
Junior
Ali Thomas (Vero Beach, Fla.) was Babson's top finisher, placing 173rd in a career-best time of 25:04, which is 35 seconds better than her previous PR set on the same course last year. Senior
Alyssa Keith (Newburyport, Mass.) was six spots back in 179th in a time of 25:18, which was 16 seconds faster than her collegiate 6k debut last month.
Sophomore
Avery Butt (Orange, Conn.) and first-year
Lasiter Foregger (Portsmouth, N.H.) were the third and fourth finishers for the Beavers, finishing just a second apart. Butt covered the course in 26:04, 30 seconds faster than her career-best performance last month, and Foregger finished in 26:05 in her first career college race.
Junior
Eujin Shin (Rochester Hills, Minn.) was the fifth Beaver to cross the finish list, finishing in 26:22, more than a minute faster than her previous career best of 27:23 back in 2021. First-year
Isabella Mozilo (Glendale, Calif.) rounded out the Beaver runners, finishing in 26:26, just 12 seconds off her first career collegiate 8k that she ran last month.
The Beavers turn their attention to the post-season as the team will compete in the NEWMAC Championships on October 28 at the Smith College Course in Northampton, Mass.
