DARTMOUTH, Mass.—The Babson College women's cross country team finished in 27th place at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Babson finished with a team score of 730, behind Franklin Pierce (685) and ahead of Fitchburg State (755).
First-year Chloe Clifford (Marshfield, Mass.) was the top Babson finisher, placing 96th among 284 runners in a time of 19:54 for the 5K race. Classmate Alexandra Kirkpatrick (Middleborough, Mass.) was next in 128th in 20:15 followed by fellow first-year Ali Thomas (Vero Beach, Fla.) in 142nd in 20:31.
The rest of the Beaver scoring contingent included senior Nicole Johns (Peabody, Mass.), who finished in a time of 20:58, and first-year Avery Butt (Orange, Conn.), who crossed the line in 23:09.
Babson returns to action next Saturday at the Bowdoin Invitational.
