Boucher opened the scoring with a power play goal just under nine minutes into the contest when he tucked home the rebound of a shot from the point to give Norwich a 1-0 lead. Wiesner tied it for the Green and White when he cleaned up the rebound of a shot by Faggas 1:17 into the second period.

Brassard put Norwich back in front and Jackson followed with a shot from a tough angle along the goal line to make it 3-1 at the 5:04 mark. Schmitt cut the Beavers' deficit to one with a shot through traffic from the right point for his first career goal at 13:53 of the second, and Richterman notched his first career tally following a giveaway by the Cadets to make it 3-3 less than three minutes into the third period.

Rosa jammed home a rebound at the 7:05 mark for the go-ahead goal, and Black fired in an empty net goal from the neutral zone after Brazel deflected a clearing pass in the closing seconds.
