Box Score BEVERLY, Mass.—Juniors Emily Bresnahan (Wenham, Mass.) and Francesca Giovanucci (Easton, Mass.) each scored three goals as visiting Babson College rolled past Endicott College, 14-8, in non-conference women's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.
With its third straight win, Babson is now 4-2 on the year, while Endicott slips to 1-7 overall.
Sophomore Julia Harrigan (Portsmouth, R.I.) finished with two goals and a game-high five draw controls, while junior Kiley Fischer (Marblehead, Mass.) scored twice for the Beavers. Sophomore Charlotte O'Halloran (Middletown, R.I.) led all players with three assists, Bresnahan caused a game-high three turnovers and junior Delaney Carroll (Acton, Mass.) scooped up three ground balls in the win.
Sophomore Erin McCarthy (Old Lyme, Conn.) finished with three goals and four ground balls to lead the Gulls.
Babson got goals from eight different players and built a 9-0 lead at the 15:26 mark of the first half. Fischer and senior McKenzie Tucci (Winchester, Mass.) scored 44 seconds apart to build a two-goal lead less than two minutes into the contest, and the Green and White notched six goals in the span of 5:45 to extend the lead to 8-0 a little over 11 minutes in.
Endicott scored the first of two straight goals with 8:34 to go in the first half, but Bresnahan responded with her second tally of the stanza to give the Beavers a 10-2 edge at the half.
McCarthy scored twice as the Gulls scored four of the first five goals to open the second half to get within 11-6 on a strike by junior Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H.) with 15:25 left. Fischer converted a feed from O'Halloan at the 9:27 mark to stop the run, and Harrigan added her second goal of the day just over a minute later to push the Babson lead back to 13-6 with 8:18 to play.
Junior Stevie Burger (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) made two saves for the Beavers, while junior Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) stopped seven shots for Endicott.
The Green and White finished with a 22-18 edge in shots and a 21-18 advantage in ground balls. The Beavers were successful on 16-of-17 clearing chances and forced 19 turnovers on the day.
Each team won 12 draw controls and the Gulls finished 3-for-on free-position shots.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. as Babson hosts Wesleyan, while Endicott will take on Gordon in its conference opener.

• The Beavers, who snapped a two-game losing streak against Endicott, are 9-3 all-time against the Gulls.
• Babson has won three straight games for the first time since victories over Endicott, MIT and Wheaton from April 21-27, 2013.
