Babson sophomore goalie Andrew Peabody (Marblehead, MA/St
Paul's School) from the right wing at 8:52. The
Corsairs led at the first intermission, 1-0, despite being outshot
21-10 thanks in part to solid goaltending from senior goalie Jon
Dryjowicz-Burek (Ludlow, MA/Springfield Jr Falcons.
UMD came out firing to start the middle period and their
aggressiveness paid off as junior forward Billy Manning (Stoughton,
MA/Bridgewater Jr Bandits) stuffed home the rebound past the

junior forward Joe Hill (Newburyport, MA/Valley Jr Warriors).

The lead was short-lived as Babson answered back with three
goals in the span of over just four minutes. Senior
defenseman Ian Goodwin (Cooper City, FL/Canterbury
School) cut the lead to 3-1 at 9:02 as the Beavers
were finally able to put one past Dryjowicz-Burek. Less than
two minutes later, freshman forward Trevor Hines

Dryjowicz-Burek stick-side off a face off in the Corsairs'
end. Senior forward Corey Griffin (Hingham,
MA/Taft) assisted on the score. Babson would tie the
game at 13:10 when freshman forward Ryan Smith (Lynnfield,
MA/Boston Bulldogs) redirected a shot from just inside the
blue line by senior defenseman Liam Chatterton (Staten
Island, NY/St George's).
That set the scene for Stahl's heroics and Hill later added
an empty-netter with just 22 seconds to go in the contest assisted
by senior defenseman Paul Moran (Rockville Centre, NY/Boston Jr
Bulldogs).
