Kaylynn Tran

Kaylynn Tran is in her second season as assistant coach for the Babson College women's volleyball program in 2025.

In her first season with the Beavers, she helped the team to a 23-7 overall record and the semifinals of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament. She helped lead two athletes to All-Region and All-America honors.

Tran came to Babson following a successful two-year stint as an assistant women's volleyball coach at MIT. She helped the Engineers claim back-to-back NEWMAC Tournament championships in 2022 and 2023. MIT won 58 matches during Tran's tenure and made a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, advancing to the Division III quarterfinals after winning the Medford Regional in 2022 before falling in the Cambridge Regional final after compiling 31 victories last fall.

Tran is a 2018 graduate of Bard College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and competed for both the women's volleyball and women's lacrosse teams. She amassed 283 kills and 442 digs in 124 career matches in volleyball and graduated as the Raptors' all-time leader with 534 saves while starting each of her 59 games in lacrosse.

Following graduation, Tran spent four seasons as an assistant women's volleyball coach at her alma mater where she was involved in recruiting, practice and match preparation and the coordination of the Bard volleyball skills camp before departing for MIT in August 2022.Â
