Judy Blinstrub

A legendary member of the Babson coaching staff, Judy Blinstrub is in her 39th season at the helm of the women's basketball program in 2022-23. Blinstrub, who also serves as Babson's Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Women's Administrator, coached both the basketball and soccer programs to regional prominence before stepping down from soccer prior to the 2005 season. Having collected her 600th victory in basketball in February 2017, she is currently the only coach in the history of Division III women's sports with 600 wins in hoops and 200 wins in soccer.

On the hardwood, Blinstrub has posted a magnificent 693-324 (.681) record over 38 seasons. During her tenure, Babson has made 11 appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including trips to the Sweet 16 in 1993, 1994 and 2017, regional trips in 1999, 2009, and 2012, and back-to-back appearances in the Elite 8 in 2010 and 2011. In addition, Babson won the 1986 MAIAW State Championship and captured conference titles in 1991, 1993, 1999, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. The Beavers have also appeared in the ECAC Tournament eight times, including a trip in 2005.

Entering the 2022-23 campaign, Blinstrub ranks fourth among active coaches and 11th all-time among Division III coaches in wins. She has recorded 15 seasons of at least 20 victories and has finished with a winning recorded in 33 of her 38 campaigns on the sidelines at Babson.

Blinstrub was named conference Coach of the Year in 1990, 1993, 2005, 2009, 2010, and 2011, and she won District I and New England Coach of the Year honors following both the 1993 and 2011 seasons. She also was inducted into the Babson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011 after guiding the Beavers to a magnificent 30-1 record - including 30 straight wins - before finally suffering their only defeat in the national quarterfinals.

During her tenure, Blinstrub's players have earned 15 All-America awards, 39 all-region accolades and 63 all-conference honors. She also has coached five regional player of the year and eight conference player of the year award recipients.

A native of Newton, Mass., Blinstrub came to Babson in 1984 after serving as coach and athletics director at Mount Alvernia and Brimmer and May School in Newton.
