Andrew Imrie is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Babson men’s tennis program in 2026-27.
Imrie joined the staff in January 2026 and helped the team to a 19-5 record in his first season, and was a member of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) coaching staff of the year. He assisted the Beavers to the NEWMAC regular season and tournament championships and a first-round victory in the NCAA Division III Tournament as well as sending two players to the NCAA Division III singles championship.
A 2021 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Imrie was the first freshman captain in RPI Athletics history and helped lead the Engineers to their first Liberty League title in program history in 2018. He was named All-Liberty League First Team in doubles as a rookie and was 22nd in Division III in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) ranking .
Imrie was All-Liberty League in both singles and doubles in 2019 and 2021 and was ranked in the top 20 in Division III in the final ITA doubles rankings both seasons. He competed in doubles in the national ITA Cup in 2019, earning All-America accolades. He had strong ITA national rankings in both singles and doubles throughout his career, including a career-high ranking of No. 6 in Division III, and finished with career records of 29-24 in singles, mostly at No. 2, and 48-21 in doubles, mostly at No. 1.
A native of Andover, Mass., Imrie earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) in 2020 and 2021. He has been a private tennis coach since 2018, including coaching the No. 1 12-and-under girl in Virginia.
