Kyle Laforge is in his second season as an assistant men's lacrosse coach at Babson in 2026-27 after joining the staff in December 2025.
Laforge and the Beavers experienced outstanding success in his first season with the program. He helped the team capture its fourth consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) tournament championship and make its fourth straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, including the national quarterfinals in 2026.
The Green and White finished with a program-best 18-3 overall record last season and were recognized as the NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Babson was honored with 10 All-Conference selections, including the Player and Defensive Player of the Year, also had three second team and one third team All-American as well as eight honorable mention All-Americans and 10 All-Region selections.
Laforge came to Babson after spending the 2025 campaign at his alma mater, UMass Lowell. The Riverhawks finished 4-9, recording their most wins since 2019, and had three players earn America East Conference postseason awards for the first time since 2018.
Laforge returned to UMass Lowell following a successful two-year stint as an assistant coach at Lasell University in 2023 and 2024. He helped the Lasers make back-to-back Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) semifinal appearances while going 11-7 in both seasons.
In his two years at Lasell, Laforge developed and coached 11 All-GNAC performers. He helped the Lasers convert 56.5 percent of their man-up chances against league foes in 2024 while setting single-season program records for both assists (149) and points (382).
A 2022 graduate of UMass Lowell with a degree in criminal justice, Laforge started 33 of 58 career games over five seasons as a midfielder for the Riverhawks’ men’s lacrosse program. A three-time captain, he made at least one start in every season and started 28 of 29 contests over his final three years.
Laforge set new career highs with 12 goals, 10 assists and 22 points as a senior in 2022 and concluded his career with 33 goals and 20 assists for 53 points to go along with 73 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers.
