Alex Bunick '15 is in his ninth season on the men's lacrosse staff at Babson in 2025-26.

In eight seasons since returning to the sidelines at his alma mater, the Beavers have claimed at lease a share of four NEWMAC regular season titles and captured four conference championships, including the program's first title in 2021 and the first spot in the NCAA Tournament since 1979. Babson also captured the conference regular season and tournament titles in 2023 and 2024 and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament both years before claiming its third straight NEWMAC title in 2025 and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Green and White were recognized for the success of the 2023 and 2024 campaigns as Batty and his assistants, including Bunick were voted NEWMAC Coaching Staff of the Year. The team also earned 26 All-Conference selections, including three Player and Defensive Players of the Year and one Rookie of the Year as well a one second team and one third team All-American, nine honorable mention All-Americans and 13 All-Region selections.

Babson won all three of its regular season games in a Covid-shorteneded season in 2021 and defeated Clark and Coast Guard to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1979.

A three-time all-conference honoree and NEILA All-Region selection as a senior in 2015, Bunick enjoyed a stellar four-year career for the Beavers as a defensive middie. He started 51 of 71 games and produced 17 goals and 13 assists for 30 points to go along with 259 ground balls and 80 caused turnovers.

Bunick helped the Green and White win the first outright regular season conference title in school history as a captain in 2015, and played in three straight conference tournament title games from 2013-15.

In addition to his role on the Beavers' staff, Bunick has worked as a program director and coordinator at Primetime Lacrosse since May 2017.
