Prior to joining the New Hampshire Monarchs, Gaudet worked with the Boston Bandits Hockey Club from August 2018-April 20. Originally hired as an assistant hockey coach and head strength and conditioning coach, he became the program's U16 and National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) head coach in March 2019.

While at Dartmouth, Gaudet played alongside his older brother Joe and for his father, Bob, who served as the Big Green's head coach from 1988-2020.

Following his playing days, Gaudet spent five seasons coaching in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHC). He was an assistant coach at Navy from 2013-15 before becoming the head coach at the University of Maryland for three years in beginning in March 2015.
