Brett Grospitch was hired as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Babson College in June 2024.
Grospitch comes to Babson after spending two seasons as a graduate assistant coach under Dan Hurley at the University of Connecticut, which became the first Division I program to capture back-to-back national championships since 2008 back in April. He was responsible for day-to-day film breakdown of practice and games and assisted with on-court development and academics for the Huskies.
Additionally, Grospitch helped with advanced scheduling and planning for UConn, which finished 37-3 and claimed Big East regular season and tournament championships on the way to claiming its second consecutive national title in 2024.
A 2022 graduate of Roger Williams University with a degree in Communications and Marketing, Grospitch was a member of the men’s basketball team during the 2020-21 campaign before serving as a student assistant as a senior in 2021-22. He was responsible for on-court coaching, film breakdown and scouting as the Hawks went 14-10 and finished third in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular season standings.
A native of Tolland, Conn., Grospitch earned his master of science degree in sports management back in May.
