Career Achievements

Named to the NEWMAC All-Conference and NFHCA All-New England East first team, and was a NFHCA All-America second-team selection as a senior in 2015…also garnered Synapse Sports All-America third-team honors and was selected to play in the NFHCA Senior All-Star game…ranks third on the program’s all-time list in shutouts (11) and winning percentage (.690), and fourth in career goals against average (1.46), games played (57) and wins (29).

Career Highlights

2015: As a senior, started all 20 games and went 17-3 while posting a school-record 0.50 goals against average and .884 save percentage to go along with a program-record eight shutouts…led all Division III goalkeepers in both GAA and save percentage, and her 10 combined shutouts tied a program record...posted back-to-back shutouts to open the year against Worcester State (September 1) and Endicott (September 4)…made six saves apiece in consecutive wins over Connecticut College (September 8) and Wesleyan (September 11)…turned away seven shots in a 3-0 shutout of nationally-ranked Tufts on September 15…posted five consecutive clean sheets from September 24-October 10…made six saves in a 5-0 win over Springfield on September 26…stopped four shots in a 3-0 victory over nationally-ranked Wellesley on October 6…made seven saves in a 3-1 win over the University of New England on October 25…stopped eight shots in a 4-1 triumph at Union on October 27…made a season-high nine saves in a 3-1 win at MIT on October 31…played a career-high 89:53 and made two saves in a 1-0 loss to Mount Holyoke in a NEWMAC Tournament seminal on November 7…was selected as the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week on six occasions.

2014: As a junior, started all 22 games and finished with a 2.25 goals against average and a .704 save percentage to go along with three shutouts…made three stops to earn her first career win as the Green and White defeated Endicott, 2-1, on August 29…made four saves to post her first career shutout in a 5-0 victory over Worcester State on September 3…stopped 12 shots in a 3-0 loss to nationally-ranked Tufts on September 9…turned away a career-high 13 shots in a 7-1 loss at nationally-ranked Skidmore on September 14…made two saves to earn her first conference win against Clark (2-1) on September 20…made 10 saves in a 6-3 loss to Trinity on September 28…was forced to stop just one shot to earn her second shutout of the year in a 2-0 win over WPI on October 4…matched her career high with 13 saves in a 4-0 loss to nationally-ranked Wellesley on October 7…stopped five shots as the Beavers defeated Springfield, 1-0, in a NEWMAC quarterfinal on November 4.

2013: As a sophomore, Costa appeared in six games...played a total of 107:12 and posted a 1.96 goals against average to go along with a .571 save percentage...made three stops and allowed three goals in a season-high 35 minutes of action as the Beavers' lost 4-1 to Bates on October 13...made one save over the final 14:56 in a 4-1 win over Gordon on October 26.

2012: Made nine appearances as a first-year, including her collegiate debut against Gordon on September 4...posted a 1.71 goals against average and a .826 save percentage in 163:35 of action...recorded a career-high four stops against Gordon and later made four saves in a 3-2 win over Bates on September 23...stopped three shots in a career-high 35 minutes of work in a 5-2 triumph over Wheaton on October 20.
