Meghan Evans is in her second season as assistant field hockey coach at Babson in 2025.
Evans helped the Beavers to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season and tournament championships in her first season. After Babson finished with a 19-4 overall record, Evans joined head coach Julie Ryan and fellow assistant Lindsey O'Coin as both the NEWMAC and National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Region I Coaching Staff of the Year.
Evans came to Babson following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant coach at fellow NEWMAC member Smith College. She was involved in all facets of the program while coaching a pair of NFHCA All-Region selections as the Pioneers advanced to the conference semifinals in 2022 and matched their most league wins since 2017 a year later.
A 2021 graduate of Trinity College with a bachelor's degree in public policy and law, Evans was a four-year member of the field hockey program and served as team captain as a senior. She started 15 of 20 games and produced one goal and one assist for three points in her final season as the Bantams defeated Babson in the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals before falling to Johns Hopkins University in the semifinals.
In addition to her collegiate playing and coaching experience, Evans has coached with the Cape Ann Field Hockey Club since February 2022. Additionally, she has served as a tournament assistant at major recruiting events for 3Step Sports over the last three years.
A native of Hooksett, N.H., Evans earned her master's degree in exercise and sport studies at Smith.
