Men's Soccer Scores Three Late Goals to Stun Ramapo, 3-2

Box Score KEENE, N.H. — Babson College scored three goals in less than six minutes late in the second half to rally for a 3-2 win over Ramapo College on the final day of the Keene State Kickoff Classic on Sunday afternoon at Dr. Ron Butcher Field.

Babson, which now owns two come-from-behind victories on the season, improves to 3-0. Ramapo, which had not allowed a goal this year before the 75th minute of Sunday's match, slips to 2-1.

Senior Will Lloyd (Lexington, Mass.), junior Christian Gardner (Miami, Fla.) and sophomore Connor Hanrahan (Naperville, Ill.) each scored once, while graduate student Drew Stephans (Newton, Mass.) and seniors McKenzy Pierre (West Orange, N.J.) and Alexander Yablonovskiy (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) all recorded an assist for the Beavers. Junior goalkeeper JB Montague (Lutz, Fla.) made two saves in his first start of the season.

Senior Dino Radoncic (Ridgefield, N.J.) and sophomore David Oh (Northvale, N.J.) both scored, while classmate David Lopes (Kenilworth, N.J.) chipped in with an assist for the Roadrunners. Senior goalkeeper Zachary Natt (Caldwell, N.J.) was terrific in defeat, making a season-high nine saves.

Trailing 2-0 with less than 16 minutes remaining, the Green and White shocked Ramapo with three quick markers. Lloyd got things started in the 75th minute, blasting home a service into the box from Stephans that was chested down by Yablonovskiy just outside the six-yard box for his first goal of the year.

Babson pulled even at the 79:19 mark on Hanrahan's third goal in as many games. Pierre's centering pass after charging into the box along the left sideline went off the arm of a Roadrunners defender before Hanrahan took a touch and beat Natt inside the right post.

The Beavers went in front for good just 30 seconds later as Pierre ran onto a long ball down the left side from sophomore Adam Stenson (Granby, Mass.) and charged toward goal before flicking a pass to Gardner, who finished from inside six yards for his first goal of the fall.

Radoncic sent his bid to tie the game from inside 15 yards just over the crossbar in the 82nd minute, and junior Henry Bacon (Colchester, Vt.) cleared the ball off the goal line after Oh's long free kick went over the head of Montague in the 85th minute.

Radoncic gave Ramapo a 1-0 lead less than nine minutes into the match when he made a near-post run to head home Lopes' corner kick from the left side. The Roadrunners doubled their advantage in the 55th minute when Oh converted a penalty kick after Montague came charging off his line and clipped sophomore Dylan Biernacki (Oakland, N.J.), who was running onto a long ball from Radoncic.

The Beavers finished with a 22-9 edge in shots and attempted four of the six corner kicks in the contest.

Both teams return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m., as Babson travels to Brandeis while Ramapo visits Western Connecticut.
