SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 9-23 all-time against Tufts in a series that dates back to 1994.
• The Beavers have won five of the last six games against the Jumbos, including last year before Tufts went on to capture the national championship.
• Eight of the last 10 matches between the teams have been one-goal decisions, four of which were decided in overtime.
• The Green and White have captured three of the last five games at Tufts dating back to 2015.

LAST MEETING
• Caroline DiGiovanni '26 scored on a breakaway eight minutes and 40 seconds into overtime to lift No. 6 Babson to a 2-1 victory over No. 7 Tufts in a battle of top-10 field hockey teams on September 17, 2025 at MacDowell Field.
• Junior Penny Baroni also scored for the Green and White and senior Grace Mullaney recorded an assist on the game-winner. First-year Madison Tibbals finished with seven saves, including three in overtime.
• Senior Claire Casey scored the lone goal for the visitors, and Lydia Eastburn '26 finished with three saves, including one in the extra session, in the loss.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 7 Babson (6-2, 2-0 NEWMAC) has allowed just one goal in its current four-game winning streak following a 6-1 victory over Mount Holyoke on Friday evening at MacDowell Field.
• First-year Kate Schneider scored two goals and Mullaney added a goal and an assist in the win. Senior Ashley Braren, junior Lauren Golden and sophomore Molly DiGiulio each scored once and Baroni contributed an assist for the Green and White.
• Senior Helen DiGiovanni leads the team in scoring with career highs of seven goals and 14 points while Baroni (5-3-13) has a hat trick and two assists in her last three outings. Golden and Schneider, who have three goals each, and Mullaney (2-2-6) are tied for third on the team with six points.
• Tibbals (1.20 GAA, 14 saves) is 6-2 on the season and has posted three shutouts.

SCOUTING THE JUMBOS
• Tufts (7-0, 4-0 NESCAC) remained undefeated on the season with a 4-1 victory at Rochester last Saturday in western New York.
• Casey scored three times, including twice on penalty strokes, and classmate Reagan Malo added one goal in the win. Shots finished in favor of the Jumbos at 16-5, as did corners at 11-8, and senior Isabel Ginns had one save in goal for the victory.
• Sophomore Eleanor Helm (9-2-20) and junior Hannah Murray (7-1-15) are 1-2 in the NESCAC in scoring and rank in the top 20 in goals in Division III. Casey (4-0-8), Malo (2-3-7), and senior Lilly Ragusa (2-3-7) are also offensive threats, and senior goalie Isabel Ginns has three shutouts and ranks eighth in Division III with a 0.55 goals against average.
• The Jumbos have won their last 12 games dating back to last season, including the national championship, and have won 23 of their last 24 games since falling to Babson last September.

ON THE ROAD
• Babson is 2-1 this season and 10-2 in road games since the beginning of last season, and has won 26 of 31 games on the opponents' home field (not counting neutral site matchups) over the last four years.
• The Green and White are 41-7 in road contests since 2021.
• The Beavers have outscored their road opponents 3-2 this season after producing a 31-15 scoring margin in nine road games last season.

RANKED OPPONENTS
• Babson is 2-2 against ranked opponents this season after a victory over No. 10 Endicott (2-0), losses to then No. 4 Christopher Newport (6-1) and No. 7 Williams (2-0), and a win over No. 5 Middlebury (1-0).
• The Beavers will also face No. 15 Bowdoin and No. 23 Ithaca in October.
• The Green and White were 7-2 against ranked teams in 2025 after going 3-4 in 2024 and 7-2 in 2023, totaling 19-10 over the past four seasons.

BEAVER BITES
• DiGiovanni has four goals in her last three outings and has two multi-goal games this season.
• Baroni has points in her last three outings, including her first career hat trick, and has two multi-goal games this month.
