SERIES HISTORY
•    Babson is 17-24 all-time against Smith in a series that dates back to 1987.
•    The Beavers have won nine of the last 11 matches in the series and have lost just three times to the Bears in 17 contests going back to 2008. 
•    The Green and White has dropped back-to-back matches to Smith inside of Staake Gymnasium (2022 and 2024) on the heels of a six-match home winning streak in the series from 2008-18. 
•    Each of the last four matches between Babson and the Bears have been decided in either four or five sets. 

LAST MEETING
•    Sophomore Liberty May hit .500 and recorded a career-high 22 kills, senior Allison Molendyk added 10 kills and the duo combined for eight points in the decisive fifth set as Babson defeated Smith 25-18, 22-25, 25-23, 16-25, 15-13 on September 27, 2025, in Northampton, Mass. 
•    Junior Angelina Holm provided eight kills and four blocks, senior Zoe Ackerman finished with 45 assists, five digs and four blocks, and junior Sabina Frosk led all players with 19 digs for the Beavers, who hit .300 to erase a trio of three-point deficits in the final set. 
•    Alison Chapin recorded 17 kills, seven digs and three blocks, Mia Etheridge added 13 kills, 11 digs and five service aces, and Anna Feuer led all players with six total blocks for the Bears, who made six of their 20 attack errors in the fifth set. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    No. 19 Babson (9-1, 1-0 NEWMAC) has won four straight matches following Tuesday's three-set victory over Wheaton in the conference opener on Tuesday. 
•    Holm and senior Hailey Fouche both finished with 10 kills and two blocks, Ackerman handed out 33 assists and Frosk recorded a season-high 18 digs for the Beavers, who hit .275 as a team and made just six attack errors over the first two sets. 
•    Fouche (3.48 kills/set, 0.68 blocks/set) leads the NEWMAC in kills per set and boasts a .352 hitting percentage, sophomore Devon Burke is averaging 2.27 kills per set and first-year Lia Gonzalez (2.18 k/s, 2.55 digs/set) is hitting .282 over her first nine matches. 
•    Sophomore Ailsa Munro (2.13 k/s, 0.83 b/s) owns a team-best .383 hitting percentage, Ackerman ranks fifth in Division III in assists per set (10.32) and Frosk is averaging a team-high 3.39 digs per set to lead the defense. 

SCOUTING THE BEARS
•    Smith (11-1, 1-0 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back matches after opening conference play with a sweep (25-15, 25-22, 25-18) of Coast Guard on Tuesday night. 
•    Nola Gannon registered 11 kills and three blocks, Etheridge contributed eight kills and 11 digs, and Hana Suzuki added 13 assists and 13 digs for the Bears, who held Coast Guard to its lowest hitting percentage of the season (.066) in the win. 
•    Chapin (3.03 k/s, 2.00 d/s) owns a .244 hitting percentage, Etheridge (2.82 k/s, 2.46 d/s) is hitting .255 and is second on the team with 16 service aces, and Feuer is averaging 1.89 kills per set in addition to leading the NEWMAC in hitting percentage (.399) and blocks per set (1.35). 
•    Sara Warren ranks third in the league in blocks per set (1.00), Suzuki and Skye Higashihara have combined to hand out 10.93 assists per set, and Ruth Tullis is contributing a team-high 3.39 digs per set. 

FROSK EARNS NEWMAC RECOGNITION
•    After averaging 3.50 digs per set while helping the Beavers hold UMass Dartmouth, Union and William Smith to a combine hitting percentage of .092 over the weekend, Frosk was selected as the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. 
•    She recorded a season-high 16 digs in Babson's four-set victory over UMass Dartmouth on Friday and followed it up with eight digs against Union and 11 more versus William Smith. 

CALL TO THE HALL
•    Former Babson standout Elizabeth Cameron '20 will become the first women's volleyball student-athlete to be inducted into the Babson Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday as part of Back to Babson Weekend. 
•    The most decorated player in program history, Cameron graduated as a three-time All-America and three-time all-region honoree, was selected as the Beavers' first NEWMAC Player of the Year in 2019 and is their only four-time All-NEWMAC first-team selection. 
•    Cameron is Babson's all-time leader in both assists (3,912) and assists per set (9.12), ranks seventh in service aces (158) and 10th in total blocks (212), and helped the program reach the NCAA Tournament regional finals in 2017 and the national quarterfinals for the first time in 2018. 

SPREADING THE WEALTH
•    Although only Fouche ranks among the top 20 in the NEWMAC, the Beavers enter Saturday's match with six players averaging better than two kills per set, each of which has recorded at least eight kills on one occasion to begin the year.
•    Fouche has registered double-digit kills eight times, Burke (2.27 k/s) has totaled at least five kills on six occasions and Gonzalez (2.18) has hit .250 or better in seven of nine contests. 
•    Munro (2.13) has at least five kills in six straight matches, Holm (2.12) has made just six attack errors over the last five outings and May (2.04) has provided six or more kills four times this fall. 

BEAVER BITES
•    Fouche has at least seven kills in every match this fall and has finished with double-digit kills in 11 of Babson's last 13 contests going to back to November of last season.
•    Senior Nora Whitehurst has made just one error in 32 attack attempts to begin the season and boasts a .375 hitting percentage. 
•    Ackerman has handed out 29 or more assists in seven of the Beavers' first 10 matches and has at least one block in five straight outings. 
•    Junior Emma Watts, who has started four consecutive matches, recorded a season-high five digs in Tuesday's victory over Wheaton. 
•    During the Beavers' four-match winning streak, Frosk is averaging 4.08 digs per set. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    Babson ranks sixth in Division III in hitting percentage (.277) and 17th in kills per set (13.23).
•    The Beavers are 9-0 on the year when hitting .200 or better and 7-0 when their opponents hit .150 or below. 
•    The Green and White is 30-4 going back to the start of last season when winning the first set. 
•    Babson is 6-0 this fall and 38-5 going back to 2023 when it records more blocks than its opponents.
