WHAT TO KNOW
•    The Babson women's volleyball team will host three matches in the second edition of the New England Fall Classic inside Staake Gymnasium on Friday and Saturday. 
•    The Beavers will open against UMass Dartmouth on Friday before taking on Liberty League foes Union and William Smith for the second consecutive season on Saturday afternoon. 

SERIES HISTORY
vs. UMass Dartmouth
•    Babson is 12-11 all-time against the Corsairs in a series that dates back to 1980. 
•    The Beavers have won six in a row against UMass Dartmouth, which includes rallying for 3-2 victories in both 2023 and 2024. 

vs. Union
•    The Beavers are just 1-3 all-time versus the Garnet Chargers in a series that dates back to 2013. 
•    Babson suffered a 3-2 loss in 2013 and a four-set defeat in 2014 before recording a three-set sweep in 2021, but dropped 25-20, 27-25, 25-19 decision last November at Union. 

vs. William Smith
•    Babson is 1-0 all-time against the Herons after rallying for a 25-15, 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-12 triumph on November 1, 2025. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    No. 22 Babson (5-1) defeated then-No. 9 Johns Hopkins and then-No. 13 Carnegie Mellon in three sets before suffering a 3-0 loss to then-12th-ranked Ithaca to conclude the Bomber Invitational last Saturday. 
•    Senior Hailey Fouche led all players with 11 kills, sophomore Ailsa Munro and first-year Lia Gonzalez added five kills apiece, and senior Zoe Ackerman finished with 26 assists and four digs for the Beavers, who made a season-high 24 attack errors and hit just .079 in the loss. 
•    Fouche is averaging 3.50 kills per set and owns a .344 hitting percentage, Gonzalez (2.86 k/s, 2.00 digs/set) is hitting a team-best .412 and sophomore Liberty May is contributing 2.00 kills per set over the first six matches. 
•    Holm (1.67 k/s, 0.73 blocks/set) and Fouche lead the Green and White with 11 total blocks, Ackerman is handing out 10.17 assist per set to go along with 1.94 digs per set, and junior Sabina Frosk leads the team in both total digs (52) and digs per set (2.89). 

SCOUTING THE CORSAIRS
•    UMass Dartmouth (5-3) has split its last four matches after building a two-set lead and holding on for a 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 23-25, 15-13 win over Salve Regina on Tuesday night. 
•    Allison Pate finished with 20 kills and 12 digs, Olivia Seutter hit .348 while providing 18 kills, Skye Peters recorded 49 assists and 12 digs, and Brooke Harrington totaled 24 digs and four service aces for the Corsairs, who hit .208 and registered a season-high nine total blocks.
•    Pate (3.32 k/s, 3.31 d/s) is hitting .241, Seutter is averaging 3.19 kills per set and boasts a .331 hitting percentage, and Norah Schweitzer is contributing 2.00 kills and 1.19 digs per set. 
•    Maddie Carter is averaging 0.90 blocks per set, Peters is handing out 9.13 assists per set and Harrington leads the team in both digs per set (4.55) and service aces (17). 

SCOUTING THE GARNET CHARGERS
•    Union (8-0), which is off to its best start since 2015, is coming off a three-set victory over SUNY Oneonta last Saturday. 
•    Kayla Martinez Cartagena led all players with 10 kills, Erin Stevens and Maddie McCarron combined for 15 kills while hitting .583, and Allie Kronenberg contributed 26 assists, seven digs and four blocks for the Garnet Chargers, who hit .349 as a team in the win. 
•    Martinez Cartagena is averaging 3.22 kills and 2.30 digs per set, Georgia Pinciaro is contributing 2.10 kills per set and Johanna Melhorn (2.00 k/s, 0.75 b/s) boasts a .319 hitting percentage. 
•    McCarron is averaging a team-high 1.16 blocks per set, Kronenberg is handing out 8.00 assists to go along with 2.92 digs per set, and Vanessa Morgan leads the squad in both total digs (66) and digs per set (2.75). 

SCOUTING THE HERONS
•    William Smith (5-1) enters the weekend riding a three-match winning streak after coming from behind for a 23-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 17-15 win over William Paterson last Saturday. 
•    Cassidy Breuer had 18 kills, Emily Fulton recorded 17 kills and 16 digs, and Kali Vanderhoof finished with 40 digs and six service aces for the Herons, who hit .247 as a team and matched their season high with 60 kills in the victory. 
•    Breuer (4.22 k/s, 2.35 d/s) is hitting .230, Fulton (3.04 k/s, 2.70 d/s) owns a .247 hitting percentage, and Arielle Newsome is contributing 1.74 kills and a team-high 0.91 blocks per set to go along with a .253 hitting percentage. 
•    Jayden Hanson (5.52) and Delainy Williams (5.30) have combined to hand out 10.82 assists per set, while Vanderhoof is averaging a team-best 4.91 digs per set and is second on the team with 14 service aces. 

BEAVERS RETURN TO TOP 25
•    Following last weekend's three-set wins over Johns Hopkins and Carnegie Mellon, Babson picked up 334 points to make its season debut at No. 22 in the latest AVCA Division III poll when it was released on Tuesday. 
•    Prior to the release of Tuesday's poll, the Green and White last appeared in the national rankings entering the 2019 NCAA Tournament at No. 16. 

MOVING UP THE CHARTS
•    In addition to ranking third in program history with 3,148 assists, Ackerman also has 194 career service aces and passed Tatum Stelter '25 for fourth place on the career list on Saturday. 
•    Fouche has 558 career kills and needs just four to pass Jill Conrad '03 for 20th place on the Beavers' career list and nine more to pass the trio of Keahn Gary '06, Nina Milovanovic and Katelin Anderson '00, who are tied for 17th all-time with 566 kills. 

BOMBER INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
•    The over then-No. 9 Johns Hopkins last Friday was its highest-ranked win in program history. 
•    Fouche totaled 34 kills over three matches and averaged 3.78 kills per set while hitting .261.
•    The duo of Holm, who recorded a season-high four total blocks in the loss to Ithaca, and sophomore Ailsa Munro, who had four blocks in the win over Johns Hopkins, combined to hit .362 with 27 kills and just six errors. 

TRENDS TO WATCH
•    Ackerman has at least 26 assists in 11 consecutive matches going back to November of last year and has surpassed 30 assists in four of the first six outings this fall. 
•    Frosk has registered at least eight digs in five of the first six matches and had a season-high four service aces in the victory over Carnegie Mellon. 
•    Fouche has provided 11 or more kills in five of six matches this season, which includes each of the last four going back to September 8. 

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    The Beavers are 35-3 inside Staake Gymnasium going back to the start of the 2023 campaign. 
•    Babson is 59-1 over its last 60 matches going back to 2023 when it hits .200 or better. 
•    The Green and White has recorded more kills than its opponents in 30 consecutive wins going back to the end of the 2024 season. 
•    Babson is 26-4 when wining the first set but just 2-5 when dropping the opening game since the start of last season.
