INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Babson College graduate
Skyler Mott (Mills Neck, N.Y.) and sophomore
Amrit Rehal (Alpharetta, Ga.) were officially selected to compete in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships on Friday night.
Mott will be competing in the men's high jump next Friday at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT and Rehal in the women's high jump at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT inside Roger Harring Stadium at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Mott is the Babson men's sixth national qualifier since 2022 and first in program history in the high jump, while Rehal is the Babson women's first qualifier since 2022 in addition to being the program's first field athlete in school history to earn a spot at nationals.
Mott recorded his national qualifying mark by clearing a school-record height of 6-feet, 9.75-inches in the opening meet of the season on March 21 at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on March 21. He also cleared 6-feet, 9-inches at both the Tufts Spring Stampede on April 11, the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT on April 18 and the Farley Inter Regional just last Saturday.
Mott, who ranks 10th in Division III with his mark of 6-feet, 9.75-inches, also came in first in the high jump at the NEWMAC Championships by clearing 6-feet, 7-inches.
After narrowly missing the NCAA Championships as a rookie in 2025, Rehal broke her own school record by clearing 5-feet, 6-inches last Saturday at the Farley Inter Regional hosted by Williams. She had matched her previous school record of 5-feet, 5.25-inches set last spring at the Coast Guard Invitational on April 4 before clearing 5-feet, 3.25-inches to earn All-NEWMAC honors with a runner-up finish at the league meet on April 25.
Rehal also garnered All-New England accolades by coming in third after clearing 5-feet, 3.75-inches at the Division III New England Championships on May 2. Her height of 5-6 is ranked 15th this season on the national list.
