Senior Emma Sheehan (Plainville, Mass.) earned the win in relief and classmate Analise Grady (Reading, Mass.) struck out five over the final three inning to preserve the victory.

The teams traded unearned runs in the first inning. McLaren knocked an RBI single through the right side in the top half of the inning and McCall drew a two-out bases-loaded walk in the bottom half for the hosts. McLaren led off the third inning with a double down the left field line and came home on Tower's single to right to put the Gulls up 2-1.

Babson produced a four-run fourth inning to take the lead. After McCall led off with a walk and Madia ripped a double to left center, Young brought them both home with a single to right. Pak later had an RBI single up the middle and came around to score on Raymond's RBI groundout to cap the rally.

The Gulls came right back and exploded for nine runs in the top of the fifth.
