MARLBOROUGH, Mass.— After another standout performance last Saturday at MIT, Babson College graduate student
Skyler Mott (Mills Neck, N.Y.) was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season on Monday.
Mott finished first in the high jump for the third consecutive meet, clearing 6-feet, 9-inches at MIT's Sean Collier Invitational on Saturday. Mott who owns the sixth-best mark in Division III this season at 6-feet, 9.75-inches, cleared 6-9 on his first try on Saturday.
A grad transfer and former four-year standout at Lehigh, Mott has the top high jump performance (6'9.75") in the NEWMAC this spring and the fourth-best mark in the triple jump (46'2.75"). He is also ranked first in the high jump and third in the triple jump in the NCAA Division III East Region.
The Beavers will compete in the NEWMAC Championships this Friday and Saturday at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.
