SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 44-10-6 all-time against MIT in a series that dates back to 1976.

SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• MIT (4-3-3, 2-0-1 NEWMAC) has won back-to-back matches and is unbeaten over its last five games following Wednesday's 3-2 victory over Coast Guard.
• After conceding just 35 seconds into the match, Jonah Gurion, Nico Mangiafico and Keegan Harrison each scored to build a 3-1 lead in the 25th minute for the Engineers, who got five saves from Nicolas Santos-Shin to hold off the Bears.
• Woods Windham (4-1-9) leads the team in scoring, Gurion (2-3-7) and Shikhar Motupally (1-3-5) are tied for second on the team in assists, and Charles Lai (2-1-5), Max Cassidy (2-0-4) and Harrison have each provided a pair of goals this fall.
• Santos-Shin is 3-2-1 in six starts with a 1.33 goals against average and a .742 save percentage to go along with one shutout.
800TH GAME ON TAP FOR ANDERSON
• Babson head coach
Jon Anderson '75, how in his 41st season at Babson, will coach his 800th career game on Saturday at MIT.
• He ranks second among active coaches and 11th all-time in Division III with 488 wins, and also became just the third coach in NCAA history (all divisions) to reach 100 draws with last Saturday's 0-0 result at Clark joining Dave Masur (Montclair State, St. John's), who is the all-time leader with 119, and George Kuntz (Cal Lutheran, UC Irvine, Cal St. Fullerton), who is second with 112.
• Anderson, who boasts the fifth longest tenure among active coaches in all divisions of the NCAA behind only Tony Tocco of Rockhurst (57th season), Tony Martone of Merrimack (45th season), Andy Smyth of Findlay (43rd season) and Frank Olszewski of Notre Dame Maryland (42nd season), ranks 19th in all of NCAA men's soccer in victories.
POINTS AT A PREMIUM
• Through the first three conference matchdays, eight of nine teams have earned at least one point and none of the nine squads have taken full points from their matches.
• Babson and MIT are the only sides without a loss, six teams have registered at least one win and second through seventh place enter Saturday separated by just two points.
ONE-GOAL DECISIONS
• For just the third time in program history, each of the Beavers' last eight wins, including all six this season, have come by a single goal dating back to last year's NEWMAC Tournament final.
• Babson also had a streak of eight straight one-goal wins spread across the 1982 and 1983 campaigns as well as the 1985 and 1986 seasons.
• The last time the Beavers recorded six consecutive wins by one goal in the same season came back in 1989.
• In addition to its run of one-goal wins, Wednesday's result against Amherst marked the first time Babson has lost by more than a single goal since October 2024.
