SERIES HISTORY
• Babson is 5-17-7 all-time against Amherst in a series that dates back to 1981.
• The Beavers and Mammoths have split their last three meetings with each side winning once to go along with a draw in 2024.
• The Green and White picked up its first victory in the series since 1994 at Amherst back in 2023.
• Tuesday's match will be just the seventh between the teams since 2003.
LAST MEETING
• Mohammed Nuhu scored 7:03 into the contest and set up another first-half goal to help the Mammoths defeat Babson, 2-1, on September 23, 2025, in Amherst, Mass.
• Obed Opoku gave the hosts a 2-0 lead in the 25th minute, Sam Davis picked up an assist and Trey Sheppard made three of his four saves over the opening 45 minutes for Amherst.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
• No. 6 Babson (6-1-2) is winless over its last two matches after settling for a 0-0 draw with Clark in Worcester, Mass., on Saturday.

Will Devall finished with three saves and the Beavers were blanked for just the second time this season despite a 22-9 edge in shots, including seven on frame in the second half.

SCOUTING THE MAMMOTHS
• Amherst (2-3-2) is winless in its last three matches following a 3-3 draw at No. 11 Tufts last Saturday.
• Finn Hoefer provided two goals, Edward Wilkey scored once, Nuhu and Vincent Akanbo each contributed an assist, and Sheppard made five saves for the Mammoths, who saw a 3-0 lead in the 32nd minute disappear against the defending national champions.
• Hoefer (3-0-6) leads the team in scoring, Nuhu (1-4-6) is first on the squad in assists and Wilkey (2-0-4) and Wilder Judelson (2-0-4) have both scored twice on just six shots apiece for an Amherst squad that has gotten a goal from nine different players this fall.
• Sheppard (2-2-2) owns a 1.12 goals against average and a .720 save percentage to go along with one shutout in six starts on the year.
ONE-GOAL DECISIONS
• For just the third time in program history, each of the Beavers' last eight wins, including all six this season, have come by a single goal dating back to last year's NEWMAC Tournament final.
• Babson also had a streak of eight straight one-goal wins spread across the 1982 and 1983 campaigns as well as the 1985 and 1986 seasons.
• The last time the Beavers recorded six consecutive wins by one goal in the same season came back in 1989.
• In addition to its run of one-goal wins, each of Babson's last eight losses going back to last season have come by a single goal.
IT'S A 90-MINUTE GAME
• Although there was no scoring over the final 30 minutes of last year's clash in Amherst, both the 2023 and 2024 matches featured frantic finishes.

Joao Araujo '26 pounced on the rebound after Sheppard saved his penalty kick in the 81st minute to give Babson a 1-0 lead before Niall Murphy responded with an equalizer in the 84th minute to help the Mammoths earn a 1-1 draw in 2024.

Ted Rosenfield drilled a shot into the upper left corner at the 89:55 mark after Liam Rhatigan '25 tied the game in the 74th minute to help the Beavers beat Amherst 2-1.
NESCAC KNOWLEDGE
• Wednesday's match is the third of three against NESCAC opponents for the Beavers after posting a 1-0 win over Bates on September 19 and suffering a 2-1 loss at No. 11 Tufts on September 28.
• Going back to the start of the 2024 campaign, Babson is 3-5-4 versus the NESCAC.
ANDERSON APPROACHES ANOTHER MILESTONE
• Babson head coach
Jon Anderson '75, who is now in his 41st season, became just the third coach in NCAA history to reach 100 draws joining Dave Masur (Montclair State, St. John's), who is the all-time leader with 119, and George Kuntz (Cal Lutheran, UC Irvine, Cal St. Fullerton), who is second with 112.
• Anderson, who ranks second among active Division III coaches with 488 wins, is set to coach his 799th career game on Wednesday.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• Babson is 3-0-1 at home this fall and is unbeaten in six consecutive matches at Hartwell-Rogers Field going back to November of last year.
• The Beavers have conceded just one first-half goal over their last six matches.
• The Green and White is 5-0-2 this fall when allowing one goal or fewer.
• Babson is 4-0 this year and 23-0-1 over the last three seasons when scoring at least two goals.
