Wednesday, October 28 | 3 p.m.
Keefe Field | Norton, Mass.

SERIES HISTORY

•    Babson is 27-21-0 all-time against Wheaton in a series that dates back to 1990.
•    The Beavers have won 14 of their last 17 matches versus the Lyons but had their 11-game winning streak in the all-time series snapped in October of last season.
•    The Green and White has been victorious in each of its last five trips to Norton going back to 2016.
•    Since 2021, five of the last seven matches between the sides have finished with a 1-0 scoreline.

LAST MEETING
•    Camaje Easton-Smith scored the only goal of the match with a 25-yard blast through traffic in the 14th minute to lift Wheaton to a 1-0 win over the Beavers on October 28, 2025, in Babson Park.
•    Aidan Doyle picked up an assist on the goal and Michael O'Gara made two saves for the Lyons, who finished with a 13-10 edge in shots.
•    JB Montague made five of his seven saves over the final 45 minutes for the Beavers, who had their 20-game NEWMAC home winning streak snapped.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
•    Babson (9-2-4, 4-0-2 NEWMAC) has won three straight matches and is unbeaten in its last five outings after beating WPI 3-1 on Saturday in Worcester.
•    Senior Ben Cosentino scored in the 27th minute, sophomore Adam Stetson buried a 50th-minute penalty kick and senior McKenzy Pierre capped the scoring with a 90th-minute tally for the Beavers, who got assists from senior Alexander Yablonovskiy and sophomore Tanner Michelson as well as three saves from first-year goalkeeper Braden Condit.
•    Yablonovskiy (4-5-13) is tied for first in the conference in assists, sophomore Connor Hanrahan (4-0-8) and Pierre (3-2-8) have both scored once in league play, and senior Will Lloyd (2-2-6) and Stetson (2-1-5) have provided one game-winning goal apiece this fall.
•    Condit (3-0-1) has started the last four matches, posting a 0.50 goals against average and a .778 save percentage to go along with two clean sheets.

SCOUTING THE LYONS
•    Wheaton (8-2-5, 3-1-2 NEWMAC) is unbeaten over its last three games after finishing in a 1-1 draw with Coast Guard on Saturday afternoon.
•    Owen Kane scored in the 27th minute, and Ty Nolon and Nick Phinney combined for six saves for the Lyons, who finished with an 18-13 edge in shots but conceded a 67th-minute equalizer to the Bears.
•    Charlie Cushing (4-3-11) and Paco Polo (5-0-10) have combined to score five game-winning goals, Vinny McGann (3-4-10) is tied for the team lead in assists and Avery Dinham (3-2-8) and Kane (3-1-7) have each scored once in league play.

WHAT'S THE SCENARIO
•    Entering the final week of the regular season, Babson (4-0-2) and MIT (4-1-2) remain tied atop the NEWMAC standings with 14 points, three points ahead of Wheaton (3-1-2), and all three squads have nailed down a spot in the upcoming conference tournament.
•    The Beavers can clinch at least a share of the league's regular season title with a win over the Lyons, and can secure the top seed in next week's conference tournament by picking up four points over their final two fixtures.
•    Entering Wednesday's games, all nine teams remain in contention for a NEWMAC Tournament berth.

YABLONOVSKIY GARNERS CONFERENCE RECOGNITION
•    After scoring once and recording an assist in back-to-back matches, Yablonovskiy was selected as the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
•    The senior forward broke a scoreless deadlock in the 82nd minute and assisted on an 85th-minute marker in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Emerson, before helping set up Cosentino's goal in the first half of Saturday's triumph at WPI.

VETERAN MILESTONES
•    Babson head coach Jon Anderson '75 has won 491 career games and ranks second among active coaches in Division III and has moved into fourth place among all active NCAA coaches in victories behind only Tony Tocco of Division II Rockhurst (757 wins), Paul McGinlay (599 wins) of Division III Trinity (Texas) and John Rootes of Division II Lynn (516 wins).
•    Yablonovskiy has moved into 13th place on Babson's all-time scoring list with 24 goals and also ranks 13th on the program's career list with 61 points, which are the most since Justin Laurenzo '15 produced 65 points on 27 goals and 11 assists from 2011-14.
•    Lloyd has started each of Babson's 62 games over the last three seasons and has been part of the starting XI in 65 straight matches going back to the 2023 NEWMAC Tournament.

BEAVER BITES
•    Michelson became the 15th player to record a point for the Beavers with his assist on the opening goal in Saturday's win at WPI.
•    First-year Adonai Samuel has a point in two of the last three games after scoring his first collegiate goal in Babson's 2-0 win over Salve Regina on October 17 before picking up an assist in last Wednesday's 2-0 victory over Emerson.
•    Yablonovskiy leads the NEWMAC with four game-winning goals.
•    Graduate student Drew Stephans is second on the team with three assists.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
•    Going back to 2021, the Beavers are 39-3-11 versus NEWMAC foes, which includes a 14-1-9 mark in road matches.
•    Babson has outscored its opponents 15-7 in the second half this fall and has tallied nine times in the 74th minute or later, which includes one game-tying goal and three game-winning markers.
•    The Green and White is 9-0-3 on the year when it leads or is tied going into halftime.
•    Babson is 8-0-4 this fall when conceding one goal or fewer.
