BABSON PARK, Mass.— Sophomore
Sam Sisk (Madison, Conn.) tallied three goals and an assist and 14 different players scored at least one goal as No. 20/20 Babson College rolled past Clark University, 19-3, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's lacrosse game Saturday afternoon at MacDowell Field.
The Beavers won for the fifth time in their last six games to improve to 11-4 overall and 5-1 in the NEWMAC, while the Cougars snapped a two-game winning streak and dropped to 8-6 overall and 1-5 in the conference. Babson clinched a bye in the first round of the upcoming NEWMAC tournament and home-field advantage for the semifinals.

Junior Patrick O'Rourke (Newton, Mass.) grabbed five ground balls and grad student Jason Tautel (Greenwich, Conn.) scooped up four. The highlights for Clark were provided by the face-off men as O'Rourke won 6-of-9 face-offs, sophomore Huy Doan (West Hartford, Conn.) won 5-of-9, and first-year Spencer Arzanipour (Glen Head, N.Y.) captured 4-of-8.
Surprisingly, Clark jumped out in front when grad student Patrick Liddy (Sutton, Mass.) set up Wells for a man-up goal just 47 seconds after the opening face-off. Reading won the ensuing face-off for Babson, scooped up the ball and fired in a goal just seven seconds later to tie the game, and Sisk put the Beavers ahead for good a minute later. Babson scored four goals in a five-minute span, one each from Greene, sophomore
Luke Wang (Simsbury, Conn.), Rooney and Sisk to take a 6-1 lead after one period.

With many of the reserve seeing significant playing time in the third quarter, Babson scored just two goals in the third frame, one each by senior
Emmett Martin (Milton, Mass.) and D'Orsi. First-year
Henry Rome (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) and D'Orsi finished off the Babson scoring to start the fourth quarter, and Minkwitz added a pair for Clark in the final five minutes.
Both teams wrap up the regular season next Saturday at 1 p.m. as Babson travels to Coast Guard and Clark hosts Emerson for Senior Day.
