SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—Senior
Isabella Allen (Williamsville, N.Y.) led all players with 13 kills as visiting Babson College swept Springfield College, 25-20, 25-17, 25-22, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's volleyball action on Saturday afternoon inside Blake Arena.
With its sixth win in the last eight matches, Babson improves to 20-6 overall and finishes the regular season at 10-1 in league play. Springfield, which had its three-match winning streak snapped, slips to 22-6 overall and 9-2 in the NEWMAC. With the victory, the Beavers will be the second seed in next week's conference tournament while the Pride will be the third seed.

Devon Burke (Newtonville, Mass.) recorded a season-high 11 kills and junior
Zoe Ackerman (Aurora, Colo.) handed out 25 assists to go along with eight digs, three blocks and two service aces. Junior
Angelina Holm (Denver, Colo.) added six kills and senior
Sophia Shaw (Novato, Calif.) led all players with 13 digs in the victory.
Senior Emily Keaveney (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) finished with 11 kills and 10 digs and junior Ahunna James (Plainville, Mass.) provided eight kills to pace the Pride. Classmate Tori Colisimo (Fairport, N.Y.) dished out a match-high 29 assists to go along with a team-high 11 digs.
The Green and White built a quick five-point lead and held off a Springfield rally to take the opening set. The hosts got within one four times, the last coming at 15-14, but Burke, Holm and Allen recorded three consecutive kills as part of a five-point run that gave the Beavers their largest lead of the game.
Babson again took an early lead in the second and then went up 2-0 in the match by closing with a 10-2 run. Junior
Hailey Fouche (Montclair, N.J.) produced a kill, an ace and a block in the span of five points to make it 20-15 and Allen followed a kill by Burke with two of her own as the visitors ended the set with four straight points.
Springfield led by as many as five in the third set before the Green and White went on a 6-3 spurt to take a 15-14 lead. The hosts went back in front 20-19 on an ace by sophomore Karenna Allain (Woodbridge, Conn.) but first-year
Ailsa Munro (Sylmar, Calif.) came through with back-to-back blocks to give the Beavers a 22-20 advantage.
The Pride got back within one twice but Allen made it 24-22 with a kill and first-year
Misaki Harte (San Jose, Calif.) served up an ace on match point.
Both teams will host NEWMAC quarterfinal matches on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as Babson takes on seventh-seeded Mount Holyoke while Springfield faces sixth-seeded Emerson.
MATCH NOTES
• The Beavers are 10-21 all-time against Springfield and have won eight of the last 12 matches between the teams.
• Babson's 10 victories in NEWMAC play are a new single-season program record.
• The Green and White is 8-2 on the road this season.
• The Beavers, who hit .348 over the first two sets and .298 for the match, have now won 51 consecutive outings when finishing with a hitting percentage of .200 or better.
