PROVIDENCE, R.I.— Babson College senior Nate Mueller (Rogers, Minn.) was named Little East Conference (LEC) Men's Ice Hockey Goalie of the Week in the league's first round of weekly honors on Monday.

Mueller went 2-0 with a 1.50 goals against average and stopped 44 of 47 shots for a .936 save percentage as Babson opened the season with back-to-back victories over Fitchburg State. The senior netminder made 27 saves in Friday's 4-1 win and followed it up with a 17-save performance to help the Beavers edge the Falcons, 3-2, on Saturday.

A four-year veteran between the pipes for the Beavers, Mueller is 17-11-1 in 29 appearances over the past three years, recording a 2.44 goals against average and a .919 save percentage.

Babson (2-0-0, 0-0-0) plays its inaugural LEC games this weekend, traveling to Keene State on Friday (7 p.m.) and Western Connecticut on Saturday (2:30 p.m.).
