SCOUTING THE ENGINEERS
• WPI (9-8, 2-3 NEWMAC) has dropped two of its last three matches after suffering a five-set defeat to Connecticut College back on October 4.
• Gillis and Bridget Spees both registered 13 kills, Lauren Boycourt contributed 31 assists and 16 digs, and Victoria Escuer led all players with a season-high 32 digs for the Engineers, who is now 2-2 this fall in five-set matches after dropping the decisive set 15-12.
• Anastasia Kelnik is averaging a team-high 2.21 kills per set, Spees is contributing 2.20 kills and 2.52 digs per set, and Olivia Hutchinson (1.97 k/s, 0.63 b/s) boasts a .372 hitting percentage.
• Zeala VanDamme ranks third in the NEWMAC in blocks per set (0.97), Boycourt and Preslie Jerebker are combining to hand out 8.14 assists per set, and Escuer leads the team with 225 digs and is averaging 3.52 digs per set.
NEWMAC KNOWLEDGE
• Babson is off to a 5-0 start in conference play for the fourth consecutive season and the seventh time since 2014. The Green and White got to 8-0 in both 2014 and 2022 and were 7-0 before suffering its first league loss in both 2023 and 2024.
• Through their first five NEWMAC contests, the Beavers rank second in both hitting percentage (.257) and blocks per set (2.13) and are third in kills per set (12.00).
• Holm ranks second with a .472 hitting percentage, Fouche is third in blocks per set (0.90), Ackerman ranks third in assists per set (9.13), and May is first in points per set (5.31), third in kills per set (3.88) and fourth in hitting percentage (.431) in conference play.
BEAVER BITES
• Holm has finished with six more kills in seven straight contests and has at least one block in 21 consecutive outings dating back to last season.
• Ackerman has handed out 30 or more assists in five straight matches and has at least one service ace in eight of her last nine outings.
• Fouche has at least three total blocks in four straight matches and has recorded at least nine kills in three straight outings.
• Shaw has served up at least one ace in all 14 matches she has played in this fall.
• Allen has registered six or more kills in 11 consecutive matches dating back to September 12.

ACKERMAN, ALLEN APPROACHING MORE MILESTONES
• Ackerman became just the fourth player in school history to surpass 2,300 assists in Friday's win at Endicott and needs just 19 assists to pass Eric Yuan '04 on the Beavers' all-time list.
• Allen has 794 career kills and is now just six shy of becoming only the eighth player in Babson history to reach 800 kills.
NUMBERS TO KNOW
• The Beavers are 32-3 at home going back to the 2022 NEWMAC Tournament.
• Babson is 11-2 this fall when winning the first set.
• The Green and White is 11-0 this season and has won its last 46 matches over the last three years when hitting .200 or better.
