BOSTON—Junior
Amelia Novitch (Dover, Mass.) scored three goals and set new career highs with six assists and nine points as No. 23 Babson College put up 19 first-half goals on the way to routing Emerson College, 27-3, in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's lacrosse action on Saturday night at Rotch Field.
Babson, which collected its sixth consecutive win, improves to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play. Emerson dropped its third straight game to slip to 3-5 overall and 0-3 in NEWMAC play.

Kathryn Blake (Medfield, Mass.) had three goals and three assists for six points, graduate student

Nicole Darveau (Sudbury, Mass.) contributed a pair of tallies over the final 5:23 of the opening period to extend the margin to 13-0.
Senior Maddy Reyes (San Ramon, Calif.) got Emerson on the board 37 seconds into the second quarter before the Beavers responded with the next seven goals. Connolly and Blake both scored twice to stretch the Babson lead to 19-1 at halftime and junior

Solana Fahey (North Andover, Mass.) scored late in the third and again just under three minutes into the fourth quarter, while
Tatum Sands (East Dorset, Vt.) gave Babson its largest lead of the game at 27-2 with 9:24 remaining.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday as Babson hosts Clark at 7 p.m., while Emerson takes on MIT at 6 p.m.

• The Beavers are now 8-1 all-time against Emerson.

• The Beavers' 27 goals surpasses the previous school record of 25 set against Emerson on April 20, 2019, and matched in last year's victory over Clark on April 2.
