Mendoza canned a triple to make it 23-8 at the 3:26 mark, junior Chloe Perreault (Danbury, Conn.) hit a foul line jumper to end the first quarter and senior Abby Miller (Millis, Mass.) opened the second with a trifecta to cap a 13-0 run that extended the margin to 30-8.

Norwich got within 31-13 on a jumper by sophomore Sage MacAuley (Barre, Vt.) before the Beavers closed the half with a 17-5 spurt that included a trio of three-pointers by Mollica to make it 46-18 at the half.

Babson scored on its first four possessions of the third quarter to extend the margin to 55-20 on a layup by first-year Julia St. Laurent (Greenland, N.H.) at the 7:16 mark. McCarthy scored seven points in the stanza and Carlo put all 11 of her points in the fourth, which included a trio of three-pointers, as the hosts outscored Norwich 20-6 over the final 10 minutes

The Beavers shot 52.6 percent form the floor and 16-of-31 (51.6 percent) from beyond the arc while finishing with a 33-31 edge on the glass. The Cadets shot a season-worst 24.5 percent in the loss.
