Felix Kloman (Ipswich, Mass.) scored a game-high 22 points and visiting Babson College built a 15-point lead early in the second half on the way to defeating previously unbeaten Brandeis University 77-63 in non-conference men's basketball on Sunday afternoon inside Red Auerbach Arena.
With its second consecutive victory, Babson improves to 3-3. Brandeis, which had opened the season with five straight wins for the second time in three seasons, is now 5-1 on the year.

Nate Amado (Hanson, Mass.) posted a double-double with 18 points and a season-high 13 rebounds while matching his career with five steals for the Beavers. Junior
Timmy O'Toole (Milton, Mass.) scored a season-high 12 points to go along with eight boards and first-year
Timmy Mulvey (Reading, Mass.) chipped in with nine points and a team-high four assists in the win.
Senior Toby Harris (Durham, N.C.) scored 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting and graduate student Jai Deshpande (San Carlos, Calif.) added 12 points to lead four players in double figures for the Judges. Junior Elias Rodl (Berlin, Germany) finished with 11 points and six rebounds, while classmate Ethan Edwards (Brooklyn, N.Y.) contributed 10 points and three assists off the bench in the loss.
Down one nearly nine minutes into the game, Kloman and Amado combined for 12 points during a 17-5 run that gave the Green and White a 32-21 lead with 2:42 to go before halftime. Graduate student Sam Aduesi (Worcester, Mass.) beat the first-half buzzer with a layup to get Brandeis within 39-31 at the break and Harris followed a pair of free throws by Deshpande with a dunk to cut the deficit to four a minute into the second half before the Beavers answered with an 11-0 spurt.

NeJohn Fortes (New Bedford, Mass.) scored inside to give Babson its largest advantage of the afternoon at 50-35 with 15:33 to play. The Judges responded with a 20-9 burst that included five straight points from Harris and eight from Rodl, who cut the Beavers' lead to 59-55 with a three-pointer at the 8:41 mark.
Rodl missed a left-wing triple that could have pulled the hosts within one and the Green and White responded by scoring on its next five possession to put the game out of reach. Amado scored four straight points to extend the margin back to 63-55, junior
Jeremiah Paul (Los Angeles, Calif.) scored inside and Amado followed up a jumper by Mulvey with two more free throws to make it 69-57 with 4:15 left.
The Beavers shot 47.3 percent from the floor, held a 42-27 edge on the glass and outscored Brandeis 36-24 in the paint. The Judges, who came into the game averaging 95.4 points, shot a season-worst 37.9 percent and was just 3-of-12 beyond the arc in the second half.
Both teams return to action on Wednesday at 7 p.m. as Babson travels to Emerson, while Brandeis hosts Framingham State.
GAME NOTES
• The Beavers are now 24-24 all-time against Brandeis and have won three straight and six of the last eight meetings between the teams.
• In three career games against Brandeis, Amado is averaging 20.0 points and 10.0 rebounds, while O'Toole has put up 12.7 points and 9.7 boards.
• Babson has scored at least 76 points in five of its first six games and is now 3-0 this season when holding its opponents below 70 points.
• The Beavers went 19-of-21 at the free throw line, all of which came in the second half, and outscored their opponent at the charity stripe for the first time this season on Sunday.
