BABSON PARK, Mass.—The Babson College women's volleyball team finished the day with a .268 hitting percentage on the way to sweeping Wheaton College and Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon inside Staake Gymnasium.
The Beavers eased past Wheaton 25-16, 25-17, 25-14 and followed it up with a 25-16, 26-24, 25-13 victory over Roger Williams to extend its winning streak to 11 matches. Babson is now 15-1 overall and 4-0 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play. The Lyons slipped to 6-11 overall and 0-4 in conference action, while the Hawks are 10-9 on the year.

Senior
Lauren Gips (Winter Park, Fla.) led all players with 10 kills to go along with three blocks, sophomore
Hailey Fouche (Montclair, N.J.) added nine kills and three blocks and classmate
Zoe Ackerman (Aurora, Colo.) handed out 32 assists as the Beavers hit .247 in the win. Junior
Sophia Shaw (Novato, Calif.) and first-year
Sabina Frosk (Coppell, Texas) both had eight digs, while sophomore
Nora Whitehurst (Atlanta, Ga.) led all players with four blocks.
Sophomore Mary Caroline Mazzanti (New Orleans, La.) recorded five kills, classmate Ajsa Orban (Budapest, Hungary) handed out 13 assists and fellow sophomore Jackie Hochberg (Tampa, Fla.) tied for match-high honors with six digs to pace the Lyons.
Gips, Fouche and senior
Lauren Griffin (Los Altos Hills, Calif.) combined for nine kills as Babson built a commanding 19-6 lead on the way to taking the first set. The Green and White scored five straight points on Shaw's serve to begin game two and took advantage of four errors in the span of six points to push its margin back to 19-13 and got three late kills by junior
Isabella Allen (Williamsville, N.Y.) to close out the stanza.
The early portion of the third set featured seven ties and a pair of lead changes before the Beavers seized command for good with a 9-1 spurt. Frosk recorded a pair of aces, Fouche and Allen each provided a kill and Whitehurst and Fouche combined on a block for an 18-11 lead. Wheaton got as close as five but the Green and White scored the final five points of the match, which included and ace and a kill by Shaw.

Gips led all players with 16 kills, Allen produced nine kills, Fouche added eight kills and junior
Lilly Steiner (Hingham, Mass.) and first-year
Sofia Ibarra (Coral Gables, Fla.) chipped in with five kills apiece for the Beavers. Ackerman finished with 35 assists and five service aces, senior
Tatum Stelter (Glendale, Ariz.) had four aces and Shaw contributed a team-high 15 digs.
Junior Brianna Picchietti (Batavia, Ill.) finished with 14 kills, senior Ava Mattiucci (North Kingstown, R.I.) doled out 25 assists and sophomore Marianna Hernandez (Norwalk, Conn.) led all players with 16 digs for the Hawks.
Down 9-6 in the first, the Green and White got five kills from Fouche and four from Allen while outscoring the visitors 19-6 to take a one-set advantage. The Beavers trailed for much of game two before using an ace by Stelter and back-to-back kills from Ibarra during a four-point run that helped them take a 19-17 lead. Roger Williams got a pair of kills and a block from Picchietti to erase a 24-21 deficit, but Fouche answered with a kill and then combined on a block with Steiner on set point for a 2-0 edge in the match.
Game three had four ties and a pair of early lead changes before Babson pulled away with a 6-1 run that included three kills by Gips and aces from Fouche and Frosk to make it 17-10. The Hawks got as close as five at 18-13 but Allen put away a kill following a service error by the visitors and Ackerman finished out the match with five consecutive aces to complete the sweep.
The Beavers will conclude their four-match homestand on Tuesday when they host Mount Holyoke at 7 p.m.

• The Beavers have won seven consecutive matches against Wheaton to improve to 23-32 in the all-time series.
• Babson is 12-9 versus Roger Williams, which includes five straight victories.
