BABSON PARK, Mass.—Senior Rye Jaran (Downingtown, Pa.) scored his first goal of the season in the 82nd minute to break a 1-1 deadlock and lift Connecticut College to a 2-1 victory over No. 15 Babson College in a non-conference men's soccer game at Hartwell-Rogers Field.
With the loss, Babson had its three-game winning streak snapped and falls to 5-3-1 overall while Connecticut College remains unbeaten at 4-0-2 on the season.

Liam Rhatigan (Holderness, N.H.) scored the lone goal for the Beavers that tied the game at 1-1 win the 81st minute off an assist from first-year
McKenzy Pierre (West Orange, N.J.). Junior keeper
Walker White (Coral Gables, Fla.) made seven saves in goal for the Beavers but suffered the loss.
Senior Marco Cerezo (Malaga, Spain) also scored for the Camels, and senior Sam Boehm (Lexington, Mass.) and first-years Charlie Miles (Tarrytown, N.Y.) and Max Haberman (San Diego, Calif.) picked up assists. Junior Peter Silvester (Smiths Parish, Bermuda) made three saves in goal in the victory.
A defensive-minded first half produced just eight shots and a scoreless tie after 45 minutes. Babson had a 5-3 advantage in shots, including the best scoring opportunity when graduate student
Ryan Grund (Princeton Jct., N.J.) fired a shot in transition from 20 yards out that forced Silvester to make a diving stop going to his left to keep the game scoreless.
Both teams had chances early in the second half as Babson senior
Ryan Kim (San Ramon, Calif.) hit a header off the crossbar in the first minute and Camels' senior Jake Creus (Rye, N.Y.) put one on goal from 10 yards out minutes later that was stopped by White.
The visitors got on the board in the 54th minute. Boehm served a corner kick from the left side and Cerezo redirected the ball with a header from the near post into the far side just inside the right post. White made a strong stop on a deflected shot by sophomore Elliott Spatz (Bellevue, Wash.) in the 63rd minute and then stoned Creus from 10 yards out a minute later.
Babson, playing with just nine players after receiving two red cards, score the equalizer in the 81st minute. Pierre chased down a loose ball near the right edge of the box and sent it to the far post, where Rhatigan knocked a header past Silvester just inside the right post.
The 1-1 tie didn't last long as the Camels regained the lead just 90 seconds later when Miles sent a header from the left side of the box over to the right and Jaran buried the ball past White just inside the right post with 8:16 remaining. The visitors ran out the clock to preserve the victory.
Connecticut College had a 12-4 shot advantage in the second half and a 15-9 margin for the game. Babson had a slight 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Babson will on the road on Wednesday for another tough contest at No. 7 Amherst at 4 p.m. Connecticut College will host Western New England on Tuesday at 4 p.m.

• Babson is 2-2-1 all-time against Connecticut College in a series that dates back to 1997.
• The Green and White had its winning streak at Hartwell-Rogers Field snapped at 12 games.
• White was tagged for two goals against for just the second time in his last 17 outings going back to October 15 of last year.
