WALTHAM, Mass.—The trio of senior

The opening set featured 11 ties and five lead changes with the largest lead for either team coming when Gray put away back-to-back kills to cap a five-point run to make it 15-11. Brandeis pulled even twice late in the stanza, the final time coming on a kill by junior Arianna Jackson (Lewis Center, Ohio) to make it 22-22 before Babson got a block from Whitehurst and sophomore
Lilly Steiner (Hingham, Mass.) and took advantage of three straight errors by the hosts to close out the frame.
Down as many as six in game two, the Green and White got a pair of kills from Steiner, another from McShane and a service ace from Ackerman to pull back within 13-12. The Judges pushed the margin back to 17-14 only to see Babson get kills from Whitehurst and Gray to spark a six-point run to go in front for good. The hosts got as close as one twice late in the set but McShane made it 24-22 with a kill and a service error two points later gave the Beavers a 2-0 lead.
Babson dominated the third set scoring five straight points on the wa to building a commanding 12-2 edge. A pair of kills by Molendyk and an ace from Ackerman made it 16-5 and junior
Tatum Stelter (Glendale, Ariz.) served up three more aces during another six-point run as the Green and White extended its lead to as many as 15 at 22-7.
