Gardiner and McNamara combined for eight of Emerson's next 10 points to pull within 32-27 at the 3:34 mark before the Beavers closed the half with a 12-4 spurt that included a pair of three-pointers by senior John Gorgol (Scottsdale, Ariz.) to stretch the margin to 44-31 at the break.

A three-point play by Baxter and a layup by Amado made it 49-33 just 90 seconds into the second half before the Lions scored nine straight points to get within 49-42 on a hoop by Brenner with 15:58 remaining. Babson answered right back with a 17-2 run over the next four-plus minutes to put the game away.

Junior David Cross (Cinnaminson, N.J.) converted a three-point play and Baxter and Horan knocked down back-to-back triples to make it 60-44 at the 13:32 mark.
